Your hardcore. I doubt I will ever be doing these kinds of things. And if I did, I would just turn around happily.

    First Five Rides + a Fall - Turbo Turbo Tero 6.0 X

My first four rides on my new bike were very enjoyable. I didn't stretch myself too much as I am getting used to riding a traditional bike again. I rode both on dirt trails and pavement. I think having a mountain bike has really opened up where I can go and enjoy the ride without having to...

hmm... hadn't thought through that scenario as it isn't really all that likely and if it were would probably be only a few inches deep around here. But I could see that could be necessary in places where it rains all year.

Of all the things I can comment about, I don't find the Tero X heavy. I'm not the strongest person in the world by any means, but I find it quite reasonable to load into the car (electric of course 😁 ). It may be that after many years of putting my recumbent in an SUV, it feels about the...

Yes you did. As someone whose primary car for the last 14 years is electric, I wanted to emphasize this a little more...To me the default is electric...

With an electric car you don't need any gears! 😁

    Another Turbo Vado Ergonomics Thread

It is easy to be seduced by what you don't have, but what you do have fits you so well other than the weight, and you might loose some of the fun acceleration factor with an SL. I rode a ton of bikes and have a regular non-bike recumbent that weighs I think 25-30 pounds. To me riding these...

    Another Turbo Vado Ergonomics Thread

Welcome This seems like the only downside to your current bike. Perhaps you can find a hitch rack that has easier unloading loading? that seems like your only real concern. I would do extensive research on this first before changing bikes. I found that I could turn the motor off on...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I did a century (I guess that's imperial) many years ago but it didn't include 4,500 ft! Yes recumbents are great in the flats and for long distance. Super comfortable.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I am a solo rider myself, just want to relax and enjoy nature and not compete with others. With a recumbent its kind of hard to cycle with anyone else as the cadence is so different.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

What about just going downhill fast 😁 Around here that's the easiest way to get insane amounts of speed on the road. Most people at some point end up braking as they are uncomfortable at those speeds. In the recumbent your lower so it feels more stable to some extent but I'm not a crazy rider.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I've got an excellent road bike. Many folks don't realize that recumbent bikes have set the world speed records! https://easyracers.com/racing.html I hope you feel fully recovered soon.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

Your overall advice was very helpful. But honestly I missed the Tero X reference and somehow thought it was a European thing? It just didn't cross my mind to think that within the one month after I decided on a Vado that something so closely related would be announced!

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I haven't bought a new bike in about 20 years! I figure I can indulge and keep it for a long time.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

Well I didn't buy a Vado at all! 😆 I took @dynamic's advice and bought a Tero X 6.0. Once I started thinking about full suspension, I realized that I really like the drop post seat and also what I really need to complement my already great road bike is a mountain bike. Outside of the state...

Pretty pls help me choose my 1st E-bike

I realize you're far away from a shop, but I would take a day to drive to somewhere and test out bikes to buy first. I found quite a bit of a difference myself between the different brands. I was ready to buy the first brand I found and then decided 'just in case' to check out some other...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

yeah its a hard call. since I own a Tesla, I like the direct to consumer model myself as the experience has worked out well. I bought my recumbent from the manufacturer too as that market was really small, that business has closed since the owner passed away and the trike market boomed. I...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I agree. The local specialized store has one in large that I can play with just fine. I am going there tomorrow with my credit card that has the highest % refund that I brought with me yesterday.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

I had an interesting experience trying to hunt down a Vado 5.0. I had success in calling and confirming that the Davis store that had a 5.0 in stock, but it is a bit of a boring haul so I thought I would try closer. I called another store who appeared to maybe have what I wanted in a store in...
