    Atlas first impressions

I purchased the Atlas at the end of last December and overall, I'm pleased with the ebike. I currently own a 2021 Riese & Müller Roadster Vario (7,700 miles) and previously owned a 2020 Trek Allant+ 7s (1,600 Miles). The Atlas survived the UPS shipping to northeast Ohio intact except for a bent...

    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

I understand your dilemma. I was in a similar situation 2 years ago. I'm 76 years old, male, 5' 9". I decided to get an ebike and looked at GIANT, TREK, SPECIALIZED, and STROMER at 2 LBS's. I also liked the RIESE & MUELLER Roadster Vario. I opted to order the R&M (5 month delivery) and purchased...

Evelo Owners, what do you do when..........

Very encouraging. It would be nice if all LBS's adopt this policy.

Beware smartphone screen burn in using SmartphoneHub

Actually, “Except that the smartphone hub, uniquely, forces the user to USE a smartphone as the display.“, is not true. From BOSCH, 'No need to have your smartphone on your handlebar: The 1.5-inch LCD display integrated in the SmartphoneHub displays the most important riding data and allows you...

Beware smartphone screen burn in using SmartphoneHub

I don't think the Smartphone Hub exacerbates or even IS the problem. The issue is, use something long enough or intensely enough and there will be ramifications.

Beware smartphone screen burn in using SmartphoneHub

I thought about that but decided not to replace the screen because the phone was 2.5 years old and I figured the battery would start to die.

Beware smartphone screen burn in using SmartphoneHub

Do you use the phone at full screen brightness when mounted on the bike? I ride in bright, midday sunlight so I imagine it was on full brightness.

Beware smartphone screen burn in using SmartphoneHub

I have about 500 hours on a Samsung Galaxy S10e using it for the display on my ebike. The screen is pretty much trashed. Using SCAN & GO at my local Sam's Club, the QR code generated on screen to use at checkout was unreadable. The photo below is the screen showing a plain, white background!

    E-Bike Insurance

My concern when I got my ebike 1.5 years ago was not so much theft or loss in a fire but what if I cause someone to swerve out of a lane because of my negligence or carelessness and it causes a vehicular collision. I may be over-thinking this but I was a Safety Resource Officer for OSHA...

    E-Bike Insurance

I have my Riese and Muller 2021 ROADSTER VARIO insured with NATIONWIDE INS. I have my home and a MAZDA CX5 insured with them, also. They wrote up my ebike on a RECREATIONAL VEHICLE POLICY for $267.04 a year. The policy covers LIABILITY (Bodily injury; Property damage; Personal Injury Protection...

    Sunglasses & E-bikes, what works?

I bought a 12 pack over 10 years ago for half the current price ($73.49) but still worth it. I purchased 12 so I would have spares for when I broke or lost them. So far I have every pair I purchased! I wear them for all activities outdoors including running, working in the yard and riding an...

    Good news! - Smartphone Hub

Pretty much the same here plus the USB cable fails to seat securely in the USB port. The smartphone holder feels cheap and flimsy.

    Roadster touring off motor pedaling

I have a 2020 ROADSTER VARIO. Although it's my second ebike and I hadn't ridden an analog bike for 30 years prior to owning an ebike, I notice no motor drag when pedaling with motor assist OFF. Other than moderate/severe inclines and strong headwinds, I use OFF the majority of the time.
