This isn't a battery rattle, it's a key opening piece rattle and there's no connection with the battery.
Thanks for the suggestion, tho.
Yes! Exactly my thought and why I tried to remove the plate to access the back of the lock to get to the keeper.
Just removed the four Torx screws that secure the black plastic plate. However, I could not pry loose the plastic plate and am afraid to break it so I'm back at square one.

I tightened them and that did nothing. That is NOT where the rattling is coming from. The rattle is from the round piece where you insert the key. I'm considering taking the piece off that is held on by those torque screws to see if there is something that can be tightened from behind the key...
Anyone else have this problem? I have a Giant, no problem, my wife has a Liv and her lock rattles so much you can hear it a half block away.
My LBS where I recently bought it is closed. Any ideas as to how to fix it?
Thanks
As I ride and makes a bell-like scraping sound. Does the same when put upside down and the front tire is spun. Any known cure? I'd take it back to my LBS but he's closed for the duration.
Just a quick note. I have a Giant Explorer, step through, and my Dealer showed me a Liv which I bought for my wife at the same time I bought mine. Made by Giant and almost identical but with some good upgrades like lights and a larger front disc. If you're looking at Giant, look at Liv.
But my wife and I can go outside to exercise on our recently purchased bikes. A giant for me and an almost identical Liv for her. Just waiting for some warmer weather.
