Electric Throttles: does Anyone know what #X Designates???

Thanks for the detailed explanation and pictures. I have been able to find several so-called “waterproof” connector throttles, I’ll get one or two and see if that does the trick and will post the results. I greatly appreciate all the help and comments. Ride On!!!

Electric Throttles: does Anyone know what #X Designates???

Yes thanks I wondered about that and agree that the "soft start" might be controller-based as it is for pedal-assist where there is a delay before it kicks in...I live in an area with numerous short sharp hills and on a number of occasions I've been bonked for power when I try to throttle to get...

Electric Throttles: does Anyone know what #X Designates???

My thumb throttle is not reacting quickly when I apply it, it is somewhat akin to an older car when you apply the gas and it kind of hesitates before kicking in because it's not getting enough gas. I also have stops and starts where the throttle is not working at all and the bike kind of lunges...

Electric Throttles: does Anyone know what #X Designates???

I’m looking at replacing my ebike throttle to get improved performance, and I keep seeing 108X 23X etc on different throttle products. Does Anyone know what #X Designates??? Is it a throttle function indicator or is it just a model number? Any observations would be appreciated.

Can PAS sensor be connected to Throttle Cable on Controller?

Thanks for those suggestions. The problem I’m having is that the waterproof connector for the PAS sensor cable is stuck inside the middle of the downtube and I’m having a hell of a time getting to it. I was trying to replace the sensor because it was destroyed by a mean case of chainsuck and in...

Can PAS sensor be connected to Throttle Cable on Controller?

Ok that’s what I was trying to determine. Thanks for your help.

Can PAS sensor be connected to Throttle Cable on Controller?

I hear what you are saying. I’m operating under the assumption that a Hall type sensor is simply a glorified throttle that is manipulating throttle function by means of an external sensor with a magnetic disc propelling it. If that assumption is correct, then attaching the Hall type sensor to...

Can PAS sensor be connected to Throttle Cable on Controller?

My ebike has both PAS and Throttle connectors running to the controller. My PAS connector is inaccessible because it is inside the downtube and I’m unable to get to it, but the throttle connector is right at the handlebar. Does anyone know if I could disconnect the throttle and connect the PAS...

How to Live with Throttle-only Riding?

Thumb throttle adapter-now that's what I'm talking about! I'll check that out. I'm trying to achieve natural progress that I've been able to recreate with the PAS similar to retaining traditional non-electric riding. So thanks for that thought!!!

How to Live with Throttle-only Riding?

Thanks yes the goal ultimately is repairing the PAS but in the meantime under the COVID-19 limited LBS access regime I'm riding throttle only and want to maximize throttle only when I'm riding single track. I just wondered if anyone had any tips or rules of thumb for throttle use.

How to Live with Throttle-only Riding?

Thanks for that thought, I haven’t fully researched that but my inclination is my bike doesn’t have that option...it has the typical LCD settings found on the generic SWLCD panel and I’ve tweaked them as best as possible. But if someone out there knows how to access that option I would...

How to Live with Throttle-only Riding?

I've posted about a PAS problem I'm having that has taken away my ability to pedal-assist ride. Luckily I still have throttle use but it's not the same particularly for trail-riding (I know I know some might wish they had throttle instead of pedal-assist). Does anyone have thoughts regarding...

problem accessing the pedal assist sensor (PAS) connector on my Overfly Sportsman Electric bike

Thanks, yes it seems to be there but looks like they’ve made it so it cannot easily be removed. I agree that the cable length should be enough to access and push it back inside the downtube but the opposite happened as the PAS cable has extra cable not the controller. I was hoping I could get to...

problem accessing the pedal assist sensor (PAS) connector on my Overfly Sportsman Electric bike

I’m having a problem accessing the pedal assist sensor (PAS) connector on my Overfly Sportsman Electric bike. It’s a rear-motor driven bike with a controller box inside the downtube. Somehow the PAS was damaged and in trying to repair it I inadvertently unplugged the waterproof connector...
