Still just the one motor; BBSHD from Luna with the 1000w "hot rod" program. Max recorded speed on the display is 38 mph, likely downhill. Imagine it would approach 30 mph in 3rd on the flats throttle-only.

1st e-bike conversion, talk me up, or talk me down!

I went from the stock 46t chainring and 18t cog to a 24t cog first, but that was way too torquey and top speed was probably under 20 mph. So switched back to the 18t cog and Bafang 40t chainring, which messed up the chainline a lot, but brought top speed back up to around 25 mph. Finally bit...

1st e-bike conversion, talk me up, or talk me down!

Little update: still waiting for Manitou to stock up the Mattoc Comp fork, and will likely do a brake upgrade to hydraulic, but other than that she's done. Added a Trans-X Kitsuma dropper (110mm), and replaced the horrible, plastic grip shifter with a nice thumb shifter that cleans up the...

    58.8v Charger Adjustment?

Man, if only I were a professional at a major nonprofit who works from home most days in my basement office. I might have that kind of time. And be able to afford a better charger that doesn't take 8 hours...

    58.8v Charger Adjustment?

But it's logical to assume that he's monitoring the individual cell charge levels? Ok. Not everyone has a garage, for the record. I charge in the tub in the basement, while I'm down there, monitoring.

    58.8v Charger Adjustment?

I think the intent is to monitor it for being on fire.

My pleasure. Here's a little article on measuring your dropout spacing (https://account.superpedestrian.com/support/article/How-do-I-know-what-the-dropout-spacing-is-on-my-bicycle#:~:text=Dropout%20spacing%20is%20the%20measure,bike%20depends%20on%20your%20Wheel.) Once you've got that it should...

I've seen some smaller wheels with built in hub motors on aliexpress. They tend to be pretty wide, but there should be something that fits. How wide is the front wheel?

New electric bicycle conversion kit adds 750W via your disc brake mount

I saw that over the weekend on dudeiwantthat.com, and it looks like a nice, but pricey, bit of kit, especially if you wanted to swap between electric and acoustic frequently.

Yeah. It behaves much more like a bike. Given Americans' love for biking and dogs I'm stunned that scooter mushing hasn't caught on here yet.

It actually wasn't too bad. A guy in California was going to ship me a Cruissis for $615, and the Gravity without the wheelset was a little more than that shipped from Spain. This unit looks pretty cool! https://globe3t.com/produit/evo-race-descente/

And it's done! We got it all assembled on Friday and headed out for a test on the local trails, then over to the golf course. Headed down a long hill on a paved path with a bridge over a little creek at the bottom. #1 Son got moving pretty good, waited too long to brake, failed to look...
