    Explore+3 +4 GTS And Sister Amiti - Review • Comments • Q&A

The "Mud Flaps" came attached to the fenders that I ordered from Giant. I order from Giant's US website and selected Giant Explore E+/Amiti-E+ Fender Set Black . Since the pair of fenders were under fifty bucks I ordered them and was surprised that they didn't look quite like I expected. They...

    Explore+3 +4 GTS And Sister Amiti - Review • Comments • Q&A

Everybody is different but if it's exclusively pavement that you ride then the stock fork shocks on the Explore E+ are probably acceptable. Unless you are 185+ lbs like me. I bet many members would be interested in following a fork upgrade on the Explore E+. I would.

I really like that rear rack new-ebiker purchased in Toronto. I tried to order that specific model but it's not available in the US. Giant's marketing strategy seems rather odd to me at times. I did install the Metro E bike rear rack from Giant and an Givi quick mounting plate from my...

Thanks for sharing your Schwalbe tire tales Browneye . I checked my Explore E+ (2020) and noticed my front rim size is 622X19 but my back rim is 622X21 and not 25mm like your model. I ordered Big Apple 622X55s. My decision and hopefully I can custom fit the fenders,

I'd love to fit balloon tires (60mm) on the Explore E+ but I don't want to give up my fenders. They look radical on the Browneye ride. Nice custom look. What's the thought about a slightly wider tire just on rear wheel? (50mm) Or does upset the balance and is a really dumb idea?

Slow shift into highest gear and jumping a tooth with hard pedal

Kudos to stanmiller for the excellent video on rear derailleur by Park Tools. Oh, not too complicated after all, I actually understood much of it.

I don't have many miles on my new Explore E+ 4 but I'm planning to ride the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail (Vacationing in Dunedin, FL) from end to end on Ground Hog's Day. The Pinellas Trail goes from St. Pete to Tarpon Springs, around 50 miles. This is THE premier bike trail in western FL and...

Rack on Fathom E+ 3 is it possible?

I didn't notice any model of Fathom that includes a rack. Not even the Fathom E+ Pro. So it looks like no joy for a factory rear rack.

Watt hours per mile - road ebikes

I'm not the 'physically efficient' person I once was. Big reason I purchased an eBike was the ability to cover more space, in the same time, while keeping perspective to a human scale. I enjoy eBiking but angst over the percentage of efficiency while riding is not very high on my list. My mantra...

    ebike withdrawal

Came back from a two week cruise and found my front yard covered in snow and ice. Oh well heading to biking mecca Dunedin, FL in a few weeks. It will be great to rotate the legs again.

2020 GIANT Explore-E+ Maximum Range Expectations

My eBike app may be grossly inaccurate but I’m getting around 1% battery usage per mile in Auto mode. I rarely ride more than 30 miles but haven’t seen anyone else report anywhere close to being that efficient with the rolling hill terrain here in Maine. I recharge after getting down to 20%...

2020 GIANT Explore-E+ Maximum Range Expectations

I own an Explore E+ with 400 hw battery and find the range more than adequate for my needs. For that price range updating to the 500 hw battery is just nonsense. If your seriously think that 70+ miles to be too constraining then you should be looking at different brands not overpriced add-pns...

    At what Temperature do you NOT go for a ride ? {Above & Below, in Fahrenheit}

Below 60 degrees and I'm done. I'm a warm weather wus and proud of it.

Normal rack with Giant smart mount?

Notice that the fenders are full wrap length with mudflaps that protect the motor and rider better than the shorter Explore E+ 2 stock fenders. I have a quick attach plate bolted on the rear rack for Givi luggage system. Mounted is the 4 liter case but I can swap in a 10 or 15 liter trunk in...

Normal rack with Giant smart mount?

I installed the Metro E rack on my 2020 Explore E+ 4 at the same time I installed full fenders. Purchased both items from Giant for $100 USD total. It took a little creativity to make things look right because the fenders were really for a Quick E+. It was easy and my custom Explore E+4 looks...

Got my new Explore E+1 GTS today!

My Explore E+ 4 with factory fenders, rack and suspension post. This (4) is the only 2020 Explore E+ model available in the US. There's no chance the US will get the E+ (1 or 0 Pro) models but they look sweet,

A flood of new ebikes coming from Japan ?

Wow, between 200-400K. Can't fathom what that number represents. If including hub driven eBikes I'm guessing that number way too low.

Flat tire history with LaFree E+1

It’s probably just bad luck on your part. I caught a stable in my Explore E+ on my second ride and threw in a inexpensive new tube from Dick’s Sports. Costs me $6.99 and no troubles since.

    LaFree +1 Auto Mode?

Purchased a LaFree E+1 for my partner. It was delivered from Giant’s NJ warehouse mid Sept. 2019 and so far the Auto mode works flawless. I’ll check the software version but I’m currently out of town but back home tomorrow. Maybe some one on the forum knows the latest software version number?
