    Riese & Müller : Reliability & Support

Re the Rohloff failure video, I believe the guys thought that a burr has caused his problem is incorrect, looks more like a bearing/seal shield has had an 'event' .. it might have been on assembly as he speculates. Trouble with precision assembles they are not really suitable for disassembly on...

    Suggestions for getting ready

I’d just wait and ride the real bike, it’s a lot more fun and the flexibility of the assistance levels are such that by using a higher assistance rate to start with and over time your fitness will improve and you can lower the assist levels. Enjoy your new bike !

Latest News from Riese & Müller

Having direct experience, steel welding can be very neat when untouched and aluminium just tends to be chunky and I’d personally go with the ‘raw’ industrial look. It’s possible to have a smooth aluminium wedding look, but the difficulty in practice is a minor dip can remove a lot of material...

Super Charger gx pannier rack paint problem

From my industrial engineering perspective, we would send fabricated jobs out for powder coat painting and the resultant finish was very tough and hard wearing, chipped surfaces don’t peel. Conventional spray paint is never great in my experience for wear and tear. An option on a rack that has...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

For us I anticipate the GX option will be very useful, the increased travel and tyres for light off road use and trails, the benefit of bar ends and dropper post ( we are opting with the dealer for the regular Salle Royal saddle) Very much appreciate the experience of those posting on the...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

A further point was, for us having the GX option, lifts the crank height about 2cm, the addition of the dropper post also takes space and whilst with a slightly shortened seatpost on a saddle, we tested with a 51cm frame on a Delite GT we were ok, it was felt the GX option left less room and...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

Well helpful and interesting post Marc, to clarify we have ordered 47cm frames on a GX but test rides were on 51cm GT and we managed just fine. The GX is slightly higher as a result of the shocks having more travel, raising the crank height. We both managed the 51cm Delite Mountain and found...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

I have just ordered two Superdelites with fox after testing a Delite and Delite mountain both at 51cm. I am 178cn and my wife 165cm , 5’9 ½ and 5’4” and whilst we both managed the 51cm we felt the smaller frame would be a more comfortable ride ( my wife was using a shortened seatpost) we both...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

An update, we had a chance to test an Homage , a 2020 Delite mountain, both with conventional gearing and a 2020 Delite with Rohloff, thanks to Dan from Edemo, a great R&M dealer from Nailsworth Gloucestershire uk, who brought the bikes down to the New Forest, where we had an ample opportunity...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

Thank you Alaskan for such an informative and detailed reply, very useful, particularly as you have examples of the bikes I am most interested in and clearly use them for significant mileages. It only needed a little push to opt for the Fox upgrade.....:-) Our dealer is expecting in the 2020...

R&M SuperDelite vs Homage, Fox suspension upgrade ?

As a brief intro, myself (61) and my wife (54) are looking to get back into cycling with an Electric Bike, we live in Dorset, UK and are fortunate that we will be shortly living within 9 miles of all our regular travel destinations and the New Forest, an area full of off road trails...
