    connex chain

I run the Connex chain I need to check it and see how the stretch is. I have about 1300 miles so far on it. At 2000 miles I had worn out first chain and 11 tooth cog on cassette. +240 LBS standing on pedals at stop & start in top gears.

    Perspective on the ST2

Wonder How Mikes Bikes would handle that. The new wheel has swapped out bad charger, coached me in stuck key, helped when Firm ware upgrade made me crazy, Pulled Rear wheel and completely re-dished wheel the had me come back after 500mi and checked bike again, replaced bad body float seat post...

    Racktime bags

I found my ST2 rack has cracked at cross support (weld broken) at the back next to the light on left side . I will have a warranty replacement of rack done by my dealer this weekend. I don't ever put much weight in bag. 3200 miles of fun so far. I use the Trunk-it Bag all the time sometime carry...

Using the manual regenerative braking feature

Yes it stays on so you can add energy. Manual re-gen shuts off automatically if you stop then go or get really slow. If i have a strong tail wind and am on a flat trail I may regenerate at one or two bars and pedal along charging my battery. Most bike trails have speed limits of 15mph.

    Perspective on the ST2

Manual all levels to maintain speed of 15 to 17. I don't want to give up amps to wind resistance by going to fast down. Plus it makes the Lycra crowd feel better to be able to pass me after I smoked them on the way up the mountain.

    Perspective on the ST2

When all profiles are showing hit edit then delet. Climb mount Diablo and keep the speed at 15 to 19mph on the way down and you will re-coop 29% of your battery.

How far can we push it?

I don't know him but he has a Trike the one that climbs pike peak. He also has an E-canondell home built e-bike. He sounds like an EE, BMET, or 35U very high tech bright guy. I have been sick but getting a few rides in.

ST2 owners always carry these 2 items

It is also a good idea to bring along an outlet tester if you are planning to Charge out on the road. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Receptacle_tester It is easy to check if power is on or off.

ST2 owners always carry these 2 items

You need to always carry a bandanna to tie the battery door shut when your key gets stuck in open position. I was at a coffee shop and wanted to bring my battery inside to charge. Put key in lock turned key door opened key won't come out.

How far can we push it?

Hi Ravi, Thanks for the inspiration. My longest rides are 74 and 88 on single charge. I climbed a large Mountain 4400 feet and found I can recoup 26% on the way back down. The first time I climbed to the top I was at 36% last time 23% but at bottom I had 49% back in Pack. So I plan to attack...
