Sorry I didn't explain very well it's the rockshox ei that's got a mk2. Yes restricted to 15mph but yes dongles are easy to get. I tried one on my last bike but the speedo reads 50% of the speed so looking for another.

I bought a hardseven 5 months ago two weeks ago I bought an Allmtn and im selling the hardseven. Suspention is loads better IMHO

Check the wiring connection in the frame above the motor. It's easy to drop the motor down and above it are the wires. Mud and water can get in there.

Not many manufacturers took up the EI sus, Lapierre had two bikes out with it when it first came out but the had problems with the computer. The Haibike one is the mk2 and I've not seen or heard of anything going wrong. I think it's a shame more don't use it but people are scared of technology.

Took the bike back today as was told that I must have done the damage! After a bit of a rant and pointing out a few bits they are now going to give me a new Bike and have the ex demo back. Hope they don't try and sell it as new again! Tomorrow is going to be interesting

Thanks. Only got it sat and found Sunday that someone else must have ridden it and had the chain come off. Marks and bent hanger, three bent links on chain. Today they said they would replace chain and hanger foc. It's not what you expect from a new Bike!

Fortunately I live in the country and no where near a town, I can get to a town off road so unresticting it makes sense. I'm hoping to pick some warranty bits up tomorrow so I will ask to see how they can tell if it's be unrestricted

Here in the UK you can tune one if you have the licence insurance etc or you use off road. I had an international motorcycle race licence but would still like my bike to go faster than 15mph. What good reason keeps them at 15mph when I can pedal at over 20?
