Thanks for that mate. Maybe I’ll go for the road tyres after all as I don’t do much off road. Just have to pay a bit more initially, but it’s worth it.

Shout out to Oldboy. How are those compass tyres holding up mate? Sadly my front tyre blew out today and not due to a puncture. It was the original slick type that came with the bike and it looks to me like the bead around the rim just gave out and it’s shredded the side wall. I’m guessing those...

Glad you joined the club Dandroid and shirt_hf :) I know you’ll be delighted. Anyway after looking everywhere for a suitable handlebar basket and having no luck I decided to make my own. Only just got the stickers so here you go.

Hi Dandroid, in all honesty I wouldn’t be too concerned about the 345’s top speed when riding in the city. In my experience riding in Cambridge and on larger roads for instance that hasn’t bothered me at all. I would think it more important to make yourself highly visible though when riding in...

Oh that’s just my Harley Davidson bandana. Grabbed that when I played at the European Bike week in Austria in 2012. Hides all manner of sins ;)

Merry Christmas everyone, lucky me got this sexy leather storage bag for my 345 from my lovely wife for Christmas. She‘s very talented, the whole side panel unzips and there’s a little pocket for my iPod 😁

Yes I got a mirror too :) Not sure what to do next to be honest. I thought some nice leather panniers might look good. Lucky me has a wife that’s pretty handy at making things out of leather. I know that for sure as I bought her the tools 😁. Other than that as I have grabbed a bunch of clear...

It’s not too hard at all mate you don’t need to remove the wheel entirely from the frame. Just undo the axle nuts, lift the wheel out of the slots and you can pull the deraileur back to give more space. Once you get started it will make sense you’ll see :)

I found when doing both the rear ones it was easiest to undo the rear wheel and lift it out of the retaining slots, then pull it backwards and rest it back from the slots. Also I did get my daughter to lift the wheel while I tightened the one at the top of the rear guard otherwise as you said...

Here you go Elgorgo. I used the smaller bolts for the front (because of the depth) and the top of the rear guard because the long one wasn’t long enough to fit the nut and washer. as you can see I used the long bolt near the pedals. Also you can see where I zipped on some to cushion any clanking...

Yes funnily enough I got some this week as well. The rear one was a little tricky especially the bolt near the pedals. Not any harder than I expected though and I’m very pleased with the look. I did zip tie a little piece of foam to the front of the frame to both protect the mudguard from...

Real sorry to hear that Skym00th :( There are so many variables for everyone I guess. I’m guessing a busy place like London makes it hard on all cyclists but glad to hear Newgen were so helpful. Hope the knee gets better soon.

Hi folks, been busy in the garage making some side panels for the 345 parcel shelf. The cutout on the left side is to allow for my D lock that straps to the frame.

Hey guys, good news I recently wrote to tannus.co.uk asking them if they would consider making some of their armoured tire liners for our size tires. Just got an email from Tom at tannus saying yes they will be making some in the near future :) YIPPEE! I cant wait. As you already have heard I...

Hey “OldBoy” I’ve really gotta get me some of those Mr Tuffy liners. Had my third puncture today, this time on the back tire. After the first two I thought. That’s it! I’m sticking to road riding only now. Alas I got this latest one on the road. Don’t know what did it this time, maybe a bit of...

Nice one OldBoy :) I have asked my brother in California to look out for some for me. I had to wait ten days to get some new tubes for mine after my puncture, I was going crazy with the wait. Tried repairing the old tube in the meantime but that failed. When I got my new tubes I went for a nice...
