    Wheel Not Turning Evenly

Just reinstalled my rear wheel, and noticed that it's not turning evenly. At one point, it's touching the frame. At almost the opposite point it's a few mm away from the frame (but still not centered). Pretty sure it wasn't doing that before and that I put it back on correctly. What could be the...

    Problem with Bottom Bracket

I actually just had it serviced a couple of months ago. Supposedly they stripped, degreased, and cleaned the bottom bracket. I wonder if he overtightened it?

    Problem with Bottom Bracket

Noticed a clicking sound coming from my bottom bracket (2018 RadCity). Pretty sure it's coming from my bottom bracket, because there's no sound when I'm not pedaling. Does this sound like bad bearings, or just an adjustment that's needed? Or something else perhaps? Thanks...

    Need New Rim

Thanks! Yeah, from what I've heard, places charge about $100 to replace the rim. So with spokes, rim, and labor, looking at close to $200. Buying a new wheel with new motor from Rad costs about $350. Hmm.

    Need New Rim

My 2018 RadCity has some hairline cracks in the rear rim which stem from some of the spoke holes (each crack is about 1/2 inch long). I'm told that Rad rims aren't the highest quality, and that getting a heftier replacement rim would be a good idea. Any recommendations for rims? The tire itself...

    Do I need new pads?

Thanks! that's interesting. in a park tools video, they said change at 1 mm, and that 3 business cards stacked on top of each other = 1 mm, so you could use that to tell. But that's good to know that you could go down to 0.5 mm.

    Do I need new pads?

I have a hard time telling when a brake pad needs to be replaced. Can someone take a look at this picture and tell me if you think the pad needs to be replaced? Thanks!

    Slight Bump in Crank

Great. Thanks for the reply. Very helpful! One thing to be careful about with cheap tools is that they sometimes break if too much pressure is applied to them, and it could result in injury. So be careful!

    Slight Bump in Crank

You tightened the cranks or the pedals? And, did you have any noise, or just feel a slight bump at each crank rotation? Thanks.

    Slight Bump in Crank

I should note that there is no sound -- no squeaking or clicking. I just feel a slight "bump" with each crank rotation, but no noise. As for the spoke, I was planning on just replacing the nipple myself. I figure I can just deflate the tube, take the tire out of the rim, and then reach in and...

    Slight Bump in Crank

Sounds good. Just curious, though: how would a handlebar clamp affect the crank shaft? They seem unrelated to me. Also, since you mention spokes, I'll just note that I noticed the other day that I had a disconnected rear spoke. Wasn't broken; just came out off the socket. Tried putting it back...

    Slight Bump in Crank

So, if I take the pedal off and it's perfectly smooth, should I just assume it's the bottom bracket, then? Also, I'm not very mechanical (though I'll do minor things). I was planning on having my bike tuned up soon by Velofix, doing the level 2 tune up. If it turns out it's not the pedals, do...

    Slight Bump in Crank

Thanks for the reply! That's very useful. In another forum someone said that sealed bottom brackets usually last about 50,000 miles (my bike has 2,000 miles). But I guess you're saying that because of the type of crank shaft, it may have applied too much pressure to the bearings. Someone else...

    Slight Bump in Crank

I have a Rad Power Bikes 2018 RadCity and I noticed a slight "bump" in my left crank arm when it's at the 2:00 position. Only in the left crank arm, not the right. And it happens in all gears. At one point I felt several "bumps" with each cycle of the crank arm. But almost all the time it's...

    No power to motor

Thanks for the reply, but I'm pretty sure the throttle will work in PAS 0. Not 100% sure though. Either way, I tried different PAS levels. Anyway, turned out it was the motor plug. I had tried unplugging and plugging it back in again at first, but tried it again, this time pushing really...

    No power to motor

After taking off my rear wheel and battery, and then replacing both, I now have no wattage to the motor. I have power, as the LCD lights up and works. But no power to the motor either by PAS or throttle. (And the throttle shut off button has been glued in place for a long time, so that's not...

OK to ride with missing spoke?

I have a 2018 Rad Power Bikes RadCity. I just noticed one of my rear spokes is out of the nipple. I put it back in and tried tightening it, but didn't work. Threads in the nipple must be stripped. Two questions: 1) Is it OK to ride for the time being with one spoke disconnected? 2) What size...

Looking for some advice regarding selling an e-bike.

You may be right about it possibly being defective. See my post, above, about orig manufacturer on Amazon vs. eBay. The batteries on eBay, though, aren't from the original manufacturer. They're from companies that make and sell batteries. So probably OK. As for used price being half of...

Looking for some advice regarding selling an e-bike.

Yes, writing it off for taxes only works if you itemize. And, yes, an unfortunately expensive lesson -- one which I hope to recoup at least a little bit from.

Looking for some advice regarding selling an e-bike.

Thanks for the reply. Would be nice to get $300 for it. My thought, though, is that the person buying it would need to spend $200 for a new battery, making it $500 total. Would people buy a used bike for $500 instead of a new one for $615? Doesn't seem to be much incentive there to buy.
