I thought it shifted seamlessly with total control of cadence and speed. As I mentioned elsewhere, the fancy CVT or Rohloff felt like having to relearn everything I know.

well the horn on the SC2 is mighty loud. It sounds like a car horn.

Congrats! I just ordered my SC2 GX HS Touring yesterday. Curious if you tried and disliked the derailleur if you were ok with shifting. It's an expensive upgrade to Rohloff.

I am considering a demo Homage for 6600 with the dual battery at the New Wheel. I’ve never ridden a full suspension bike. I may give it a spin this weekend.

I just learned today that a national seashore near me only allows Class 1 bikes on its trails. That’s a real issue for me since that would take away one of my reasons for an ebike. It might be worth sacrificing a few extra miles. Most people enjoy the spedelec just to comfortably get to 22-23...

@dblhelix are you suggesting going all the way and getting the Rohloff to ensure making the big hills? If I'm riding to the coast, I will be tackling serious hills. 1400-1800'.

Thanks everyone. The Homage is not a dual battery (though you can add one on the outside i assume) and has the older motor. I do like the step through though (similar to the Nevo but with full suspension). I know when I test-drove a Vario I was sacrificing something. A bit like AT vs a stick...
