Hi all, need a bit of help choosing an electric bike in the $1,000 to $1,300 range for...

I may be biased owner but the Volt Mariner can be ordered (not on Amazon) and meets your requirements. :p The battery won't last forever but it's descent.

possible list of owners location and their bikes?

How about an interactive map? :) You could choose to add yourself and your specific / general local (so it would be good for people not wanting to get over specific about were exactly they live).. It could be a button that says "add me to the map and of what types of invites" then you put a...

Friends Don't Let Friends Ride E-Bikes

It's been a dozen years since I spent any real time on a bike.. Did some bike touring in the teens. New eBike user for just over 3 weeks now and LOVE it!! I was looking for a way to get to work, avoid traffic & get some exercise. I think sitting in a car driving to work, in or out of traffic is...

    Could use some help please?

How much do you like fat tires? Maybe the lightest bike if it could impact your back hauling it around a bunch? Find one that makes your back happy.. Factory setup may need to be upgraded depending on the bike you pick. The RadRover looks like the most upright ride to me. If you can at all give...

Volt Bike Mariner 2016: So far so happy! Observations as they happen.

Torque sensing wasn't for me but it could be for you. I would consider it on a bike that had more efficient tires where you get more human powered bang for buck. With the fat tires (large and small) there is more drag that I could imagine might suck up the energy you put into it. Cadence sensing...

Volt Bike Mariner 2016: So far so happy! Observations as they happen.

Ah.. I mostly use the pedal assist levels and not the throttle. While levels 1, 2, & 3... do have some initial take off power I can still pedal and not be out powered by the motor in a continuous state. I did try a Pedago and felt being way out powered by the motor which I did not prefer. Level...

Volt Bike Mariner 2016: So far so happy! Observations as they happen.

@vincent UPDATE 1: Pedal Assist Levels Working on sorting out the PAS levels. I understand very little about what is going on with the bike so please forgive my descriptions are just the best observations I can make. The different levels of PAS appear to pull until you reach an intended speed...

    It's INTERBIKE 2016!

@Ann M. Ya.. It was a long shot. They have a few floating around here in Vancouver. One of their touring options was quite reasonable in price when I was looking at step thru's. The Elly was a dream to ride like the Electra Townie but better comfy fit. If they could only mount the battery mid...

    OHM bike thoughts & impressions

Choosing between motor systems: bosch, currie, yamaha

My votes for Bosch after trying them. I would recommend trying a bike with each system before you buy.. They are all a little different. You could possibly squeeze out 30 miles in a battery charge but I would keep in mind battery size. I do about 20miles round trip but think I could squeeze out...

Hello from "What's an electric bike?"

I also don't know how to walk with a bike.. I have a seriously bruised leg each time some part of the bike seems to like to hit the back of my calf. I look like a banana!

just bought a KTM Bosch cx ..super happy!

Ya.. We have been having crazy nice biking weather. I just don't understand why everyone isn't riding to work and back. I am still stuck at buying a lock for my bike. Until then I can't leave it unattended to run and do "shopping" errands...
