Cheers mate! That sounds like a nightmare Dave, glad you are back in the saddle buddy!
Takin' it easy. Slower than I had anticipated, but that's OK. I'd rather get it right...

Sad for people who can't see the wonder all around them. Spanish philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955):Herons are strange to me, they look so exotic that I feel everyone should be running to admire them, but they seem ordinary to most people.
Everything in the world is strange and marvelous to well-open eyes.
Stevie Wonder agrees...Sad for people who can't see the wonder all around them. Spanish philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955):

In the late '60's almost everyone of of his songs reveranced vision.Stevie Wonder agrees...
Sir Duke, "You can feel it all over"...Not surprised. Which tune are you thinking of?

It did. I felt it coming long before I saw it.Wow. The ground must have shook like crazy.
Big, yes, but it looked like a model train as it crossed the historic Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct last Sunday. It's the worlds largest concrete arch bridge. The largest steam locomotive, crossing the largest concrete bridge, drew upwards of 10K spectators!Must've been a thrilling sight in that gorge. The Big Boy's the very definition of BIG!
We saw it at a Sacramento, CA train show many years ago. You can't really appreciate the immensity and sense of power it exudes till you're standing right next it feeling like an ant.
Was Sheldon Cooper there? Here's another shot I took at Steamtown that you will likely never see again. It's a reunion of the #4014 and it's sister locomotive the #4012, two Big Boys side by side.
Talk about crowds. There were 26K visitors yesterday, and at least that many when I was there earlier today. I thought it was a Taylor Swift concert!
