With the new adverts I am signing off. I will check back the third week of September, once, to see if it has cleared. I am not about to create free content & be subjected to ads. One or the other. Find me on Google Maps with the word eBike. I am 35 miles north of the GG Bridge.

That big and totally opaque "Activate your account now" ad taking up half of my phone screen at the top of nearly every page makes EBR look like a trap. Horrible optics.
If I were coming to the forum for the first time now, I'd turn tail and run.
I wouldn't mind more ads if that's what it takes to keep the EBR forum alive, but they signed up for the most obnoxious ads imaginable. Hope they can tone it down — WAY down.

The ads are annoying. I get that they need to keep the lights on, but this is just going drive eyeballs away, and then they'll have to put in even more ads to up the $/eyeball. I don't mind static header/footer ads but if I have to scroll past an ad or it is injected into the content then I'm a LOT less likely to spend time on the page

I appreciate advertisers know their stuff, but it doesnt line up with any approach I have to purchasing.
If an ad annoys me , I mentally associate the vendors with complete shysters and would never do business with them.
If it just quietly scrolls by locked into the page, I might well read it as it goes by, but it doesnt trigger my auto block mode.
Im probably a salespersons nightmare, if they even look at me I go into no buy mode

If something interesting is in the add, I click on it and it goes straight to a simple page describing the product and its specs, price and delivery options...fine.
If it goes to a page with popup chat boxes that bob around ss you scroll and headers like Discover, Lifestyle.
I'm like ffffff off will ya

Knock on wood - the ads seem to be gone! Or is it just me? I hope it's not temporary.
I get the idea that there's overhead to run a forum like this but the recent ads were about as annoying and cheap click-baitish as possible!

The French Pyrénées are a wonderful place to ride bikes! Now, these people ride acoustics, but I love to ride my ebike on roads like these. The area where we have bought a place is actually to the east of where they are riding in this video, but check out the landscape! The blues and greens, the lack of cars, the excellent condition of the roads!
