Old pensioner rider need help

No that is normal. There is a seting that controls where your PAS starts when you turn it on. If it was in PAS 1, the throttle should have worked, unless it is set to 0/off in the controller
Ordered my bbs02 bafang thumb throttle came today tried in the only male cable coming from the main harness and nothing happened apart from an Amber looks like a warning light came up on my controller screen I’m gonna send you some pics of before and after I’ve plugged in the throttle

Here is the pics I promised before and after plugging the throttle to the mail cable coming out the main harness. And here are the cables I have left near the handle bars

It is true that it is all just fine until it is not. If there is a accidental situation then there will be big trouble with the throttle. Maybe if you are missing a leg and have a disabled veteran's placard with a doctor's note and one from the mayor and another from the chief of police, the judge might cut your jail time in half. The BBS02b can be ghost pedaled so there is no need for a throttle anyway, especially in GB.

04H is a throttle error.
More than likely the programming parameters are out of line with the particular throttle you have. The high and low throttle limits need to be matched and set up correctly.
Start Voltage (the probable culprit, set too low) and then End Voltage for proper full range.

You'll need the programming cable we linked to earlier if you want to fix it.

Especially a poorly programmed one... But you were too scared to understand with the few that you touched. 🙃
Mine can be... but only if you want to and don't adjust PAS & gear to the situation appropriately.
