Magic (not real magic) chain lube for outstanding lasting performance and virtually no wear

No matter what we use, fifty years from now discussions on chain lubes will still be being debated. I think we may never ever, ever find the perfect lube!

Yes I am riding with a BBS02 with an 20aH battery. I am extremely happy with it. I do ride with minimal assist as you suggested,……….. mostly PAS1. Does anyone have firm data on riding powered up but riding in PAS0? I’ve seen it written that it’s not suggested to ride without some assist...

Yep.……… and that’s enough for me. I’ll very infrequently ride it to the limits in one go! I usually ride from 54v to 47v in several rides.

I can’t tell you because…………..the last thing I’m going to be concerned about are those perhaps slight variations. Fifteen miles per volt works for me!

Just charge up and then pay a bit of attention to the average milage per 1v that you are getting and go from there. There will always be variables no matter what you do, so simply try to ride within those variables. I get about 15 miles per volt in my terrain and I always leave a few volts in...

    BBSO2 Service

FYI…………..I did my own testing by going for it! No issues whatsoever in hanging the BBS02 out on the boom of a Bacchetta Giro w/700c wheels. With the battery mounted down low on a T-cycle tray, the weights seem to offset and the ride stability is not compromised.

Bought another photon and this one failed also.

Sorry to hear your troubles with the Photon and thank you for sharing the experience. I considered a Photon for a short while but turned back towards a Bafang BBS02 after hearing of issues with CYC. The BBS02 is still young with only 1000 miles but it runs flawlessly and is extremely quiet too.

Looking for a powerful mid drive kit.

Awesome information shared by those that have experience and knowledge about motors and controller programming parameters. It’s great to part of a group that makes riding electric enjoyable and as aerobic as we feel fit enough to do. I motorized my SWB Bacchetta Giro a couple of months...

Looking for a powerful mid drive kit.

I’m trying to understand the logic in why running at zero power causes excessive bearing wear? It doesn’t seem to me that putting more torque on the spindle/axle would affect the bearings. I too run at zero power quite frequently which now is of concern.

    Why doesn't this ebike exist?

What’s been said!! Find a bike that can handle the roads/paths/trails you like to ride and motorize it. I recently put a Bafang BBS02 on a two-wheeled recumbent that was not selling and resurrected it into a great riding bike. I’m glad I realized it’s potential. The motor kit was an easy...

Nearly two years in, would you still recommend the BBS02? Which Bacchetta do you have? My plan is for motorizing my Giro and I read differing opinions on the motor weight up high on the boom.

    Tongsheng assist levels

Hence my hesitation in purchasing anything as of yet! I am also considering a motorized hub with a lean towards the front wheel for better weight distribution overall. Battery mounted just below the seat.

    Tongsheng assist levels

Thank you for the reply AD I currently sit at about 32lbs and will be adding another 15lbs or so. My concern with the Bafang is the motor weight hanging way out on the boom and would prefer as light as possible.
