Battery pack will power the bike, but not charge

Only two (out of four) input terminals on the charge connector are used, a + and a - Output is separate, the tall rectangular thing to the left in the photo. Here there is two (out of five) used. The positives are Y'd together, the negatives are separate, that goes through two circuit boards...

Battery pack will power the bike, but not charge

I had a misadventure repairing the charger for my Biktrix Juggernaut, it shorted briefly once plugged in, as noted here: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/connectors-and-the-cycle-satiator.10853/ The battery ran the bike after, and there is full voltage on the output plus the...

    Connectors and the Cycle Satiator

Thanks, I sent a note to Roshan on the same issue. I did get a couple of new chargers from him today, but no good, so it is certainly something in the battery. The case comes apart easily in the front, the back part around is hanging up somewhere, don't want to force it. I should probably...

    Connectors and the Cycle Satiator

Charger seems to be fine, reads the proper voltage on the end, looks OK inside, and when I tried to reset the BMS by connecting it via jumper wires to the batteries outlet port it did go into charge mode. So I assume it is a problem now with the battery. Going by this: (Link Removed - No...

    Connectors and the Cycle Satiator

Thanks. I'm not keen on splitting the case to change the connector, but I might be able to make up an adapter. Looks like though I might have bigger problems. After I resoldered the charger connector and tested it on the battery, it separated and briefly shorted to it's metal collar when I...

    Connectors and the Cycle Satiator

I was having trouble with the charger that came with my Biktrix Juggernaut and have not been able to source a spare one from them. Did end up taking the connector apart and resoldering it but was thinking a better charger like the Satiator may be a good idea, for additional safety and something...

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

Has anyone else had trouble dealing with Roshan for service? I've been trying to buy a spare charger for my Juggernaut from him since mid August, and no luck. Always some excuse, a promise to send one, then nothing arrives. Send another message, another excuse and promise to send, then nothing...

    Juggernaut security

I use a Magnum 3006 Mini U-lock with hexagonal chain, and replaced my QR front and seat stay with allen skewers. So far so good. Heavy, so not something to pack around, but big enough it's easy to loop around the frame. I leave it on the rack I use at work. Not a high crime area though.

    Biktrix Juggernaut review

A little bit different, mine has the round brace. That one looks like the on the Rad Rovers, as in http://electricbikereview.com/community/threads/suspension-collapse.3350/ Hard to pin the 'forks of many names' down though. Mine has been good so far, lasted all winter without problem

    Biktrix full-suspension purpose-built ebike

Looks great! How does it compare to the fatty as far as riding goes? Imagine that rear suspension is nice on rough stuff at speed. What's the weight like?

I want to build or buy an Ebike

I was looking at building but when I priced out the parts a complete bike made more sense. I went with Biktrix, which has worked out very well, but Radpower and Voltbike would also be contenders price-wise to a build.

Nice thing to see under the tree!

What are your suggestions for winter cycling peace of mind?

Agree with the previous suggestions, studded tires, lights, motorcycle gear. Ski/snowboarding equipment can also be handy, I use my skiing helmet and added some extra armor in the knees and butt to an old pair of snowboarding pants. Can add that electrically heated gear (I have a jacket and...

    Biktrix Modifications

Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy yours. Studded tires on mine now, and it's tearing along quite well on the ice and snow.

This is the way to be seen!

This is how mine look: When I was riding a regular bike in the winter I had two on the one wheel (one battery pack can power two) but the e-bike goes faster so one each seems to make a decent pattern. Good for visibility to vehicles when crossing intersections.
