OK, I'm new to all this ANT+ stuff. I have a 2020 Trance E. Yesterday, I rode with a buddy who bought a 2021 and he had a Garmin unit that displayed battery life. Personally, I don't like displays because I crash way too much but I'd love to know battery life on a granular level (as reported...
Last time I measured, it was about 53 lbs. I can tell you that you don't feel that weight on the descents, especially when the trails get rowdy. You'll only feel it on tight trails. Jumps pretty good too!
One year later and this entry level bike is anything but (RS Lyrik Ultimate fork at 170mm, Fox Float X2 at 185X55, Shimano Zee brakes, SRAM X01 drivetrain, Maxxis Minion DHF HRII tires, Magura MDP front rotor). This bike is killin' it!
Bike in action:
I'm not sure. The BB height (or distance to ground) is not part of the geo spec. So I've swapped out the headset for an angleset, and in theory, a 1.5 deg HA change is about a 2.5mm drop in BB height but the angleset I installed had an external cup and my fork is 10mm longer so I should...
Well, I'm starting to see some of the limits on this bike. First, the bottom bracket (okay, then bash plate) is low and prone to strikes. I've cracked mine already and crushed the speed sensor wires on the back (it's all good now). I've also reached the performance limits of the Tektro...
I believe there's a high point on the motor mold that pinched the wires against the plate. I routed everything so the wires aren't in the same place again... in fact, all the wires are tucked away now. I even added padding on the repaired plate so 1) things don't move and 2) hopefully quiets...
The skid plate case of my Trance toiok a big hit this morning and I got an error from the computer. I limped back home and opened it up and found some crushed wires (going to the chainstay and into where the rotor is which I would assume is the speed sensor). Anyway, I mended it up and now the...
Ha! We could have traded and it would have been good for both of us... well, that's if you were looking for a small. After I made the fork and geometry change, this thing became a monster. Anna, what fork does your bike have? If it's the Gold RL, I STRONGLY recommend you switch it out. =)...
Holy s*it... this bike is amaze-ballz! I was doing some suspension tuning at a local downhill run and man, did this thing shred! It even jumped predictably and descended playfully despite being longer than my other bikes! It was already good with the 66.5 deg HTA but at 65, it's just freakin'...
