When will the Atlas be back?

Well... They're finally back in stock. They must have lost a ton of business! Anyways, I do like the new blue color and they got rid of the 'generic' Zoom brakes and went back to Tektro. They changed out the control display and it looks like you can limit the top speed to 20 in order to...

Bafang Ultra Motor (M620) Ridden Very Gently for 3,000 Miles - Service Required or Not Necessarily?

Here's a trick I use that works pretty good to avoid using blocks that always seem to slide around: A couple of pieces cut from large hollow foam 'pool noodles'.

When will the Atlas be back?

Hmmm.... Maybe all new models coming out????

The Omega's are reduced again to $2,400 for a short time. Hard to beat!!

    400+ Brands???

There has to be nearly 400 brands of bikes listed in this forum under "Discussion by Brand & User Reviews". And now, 2 nearby dealers have taken on brands that aren't even listed here! One is selling "Troxus" and another is selling "Reid". Do you suppose there are just a handful of Chinese...

    Theft prevention/recovery?

I stand corrected. The Evelo Atlas and Omega DO NOT have a password PIN lockout feature! The 'password' category shows on the Atlas settings menu but is disabled and the Omega never had one.

    Theft prevention/recovery?

I'm pretty sure that my Evelo Atlas and the wife's Omega have the 'pin lockout' feature. But, even though I consider myself tech savvy, I've been leary of setting them up for the reasons you describe. Mostly because inputting data on these displays is 'clunky' and a single wrong key press...

    Theft prevention/recovery?

I always feel uncomfortable locking up my Evelo(s) and then leaving them 'out of sight'. I think the Manufacturers could really do a better job of 'locking out' the electronics to make the bike more secure. At the very least, an ignition switch would be nice or a removable display. Maybe even...

    Theft prevention/recovery?

I believe the "Tile" products work the same as the Air Tag AND they work with both Android & Apple.

    Theft prevention/recovery?

Good points. For a $10 device they certainly have some limitations (they advertise 250' range). The "Tile" branded devices do rely on other users that have the Tile App on their cell phones, so they will work best in highly populated areas. I have a few Tiles installed on equipment stored in...

    omega rack

Seems like there are hundreds of 'universal rear bicycle racks' (search of Amazon or Walmart). I really prefer the looks of the dedicated rack that Evelo offers for the Omega & Atlas, BUT not for $120. I chose one more affordable that works quite well for both the Omega and Atlas. It includes...

    Theft prevention/recovery?

Needless to say, these ebikes are expensive and a prime target for scumbags looking to rip people off. But a recent story from one of my motorcycle publications got me thinking. A guy had his ebike stolen at a large weekend motorcycling event in a camping/RV area but he had 'tagged' it with a...

Evelo Omega - 200 Mile Review

Certainly sad news about "Alaskan". I didn't really know him, but he sure had a lot of experience with ebikes! The wife's Omega is 15 months old and running great. It's an incredible deal at 2600 bucks! I doubt you could find anything close with the Gates belt and Enviolo automatic hub...

    New (2023) Atlas report.

Yes! I'm very happy with my Atlas, but I did replace the rear sprocket from 26 to 22 tooth, to give me a higher gear ratio. But I have to say that the wife's Omega has been outstanding too. I am amazed that Evelo has dropped the price of the Omega to $2,600! This has got to be one of the...

    Spongy rear brakes

Seems a bit strange, but both my Atlas and the wife's Omega have developed spongy rear brakes after 1000 miles. It's obvious that the rear pads are worn but not to an extreme level. Both bikes utilize the "Zoom HB875" hydraulic disk brakes. Do bicycle hydraulic brakes have a tendency to...
