Mine has a different plug type than the video but the procedure has always been the same. Unplug thumb throttle, plug in twist throttle, ride away. Never had it not work but for some reason, this Lectric will not accept the twist throttle. Lectric has no idea why or what may work.
I just received my xPeak 2.0 and would like to change the thumb throttle to a twist throttle. I have a twist throttle with a 3 pin orange plug which has worked fine on my other bikes (Velotric and Ride1Up) but I just get an error on the xPeak.
Any thoughts on why this works on these other bikes...
So I still have the Nomad but am actively shopping for another fat tire bike that works the way I want.
In the meantime, I purchased a Furious Ultimate EMX and can say without a doubt that the integration of the sensor/controller/throttle is exactly what I wanted. Everything is adjustable and...
I recently lost my ebikes to hurricane Milton. I had a RadRunner, a Ride1Up 700 series and a Biktrix Swift. All flooded, all garbage.
Each of those bikes functioned a bit different and each had things that I did not like especially as it relates to throttle integration.
I really liked the...
Thanks again. I just ordered the right side half throttle from your link.
I moved the thumb throttle to the right side of the bar this weekend. It’s a very tight squeeze so the twist should definitely help free up some space. I just prefer it on the right.
Thanks for the pic. I really like the bike but the throttle could be better.
It’s a shame that Ride1Up is not going to address this. My low budget RadRunner throttle is variable regardless of PAS level, pedaling, etc. It’s really nice to give the bike slight throttle while pedaling up hills...
This is old news. It should work as a variable throttle regardless of PAS setting and whether or not you’re pedaling. Ride1Up obviously agrees or they wouldn’t be fixing this issue.
I’m glad they are fixing this issue. Hopefully they can offer some type of fix for current owners. The throttle is annoying and feels very unrefined. I also have a RadRunner and the throttle is much better.
Hi. Want to replace my front chainring on my Ride1Up 700 series bike. Would like to go to a smaller ring to give me a bit lower gearing.
The existing chainring has bolts that measure roughly 4.75” or 120mm center to center and there are 5 bolts.
Any idea on where to get a 120 BCD, 5 bolt...
I replaced my Acera derailleur with the Deore RD-M591 this past weekend and it was a simple replacement. I did not have to modify anything and the Deore was a very simple bolt-on replacement. Easy to adjust and very crisp shifting.
Thanks for the heads up on swapping to the Deore. Nice upgrade...
