That sounds about right re: battery.
Range estimates by Giant are useless.
For the ticks, check that your cranks are on tight and rear derailleur is adjusted properly.
What assumptions are you referring to?
The power consumption is not as high as I think you think it is and thus it will not 'measurably reduce your range'. But your points on being expensive and hard are both true.
There are a handful doing it at various stages. Check out: Roadio, Velo AI...
I used to work at Roadio so am obviously biased.
A lot of the issues people laid out in this thread are issues you would hear repeatedly across different people from different places. Longevity of battery life, ideal mounting spots, and generally just a low friction experience to start riding...
What are your requirements? Are you looking for a light that blinks? Something to give you a 'heads-up'? Etc.
That Magene has plenty of online reviews. Trek's just came out but expect it'd be baseline fine. I may have misread what you've previously written, sounds like you really just want a...
That looks like a nice setup! Love the PD mounts and cases. Know what power you are pulling from the Kiox?
Another good (longer but more expensive) cable is this one by Shure.
If you want a little electronics project, this can be done for ~$50.
Bosch has a third auxiliary port on your bike, down on the left side of the motor. It outputs 12-13V at 1.5A if I recall. It may not be on (likely is), but your LBS could turn it on if it is not on.
You would need at least 3...

This has a lot (all?!) of the features I've thought about for a long time and some I've grown to like (low-step, throttle).
Expect it will be a big hit in N.A.!
Correct, 1x each. I allotted extra in case they were broken during handling/installation.
BTW, I'd recommend buying jumpers with the pins pre-crimped on to avoid the hassle of crimping. You would have to solder then unless you used an additional connector.
The out front mount shown here (bike is vertical against wall) let's you position it so that it is more viewable depending on how
far over the handlebars your are (drops more, flat bars less). It takes an Allen bolt, so you can't adjust on the fly.
I've used screen protectors ($10-$20) to...
I'm betting your bike has 1 unused connector by the motor and 1 unused connector inside the port where the headtube and toptube meet which can be used for the front and rear lights, respectively.
I used both of these connectors to connect to Light and Motion Vis E+ Lights on my 2020 Revolt E+...
