Stuck at the end -L or Start -XL of bike size.

I would like to get a Trek FX1s. The sizes are Large 5'9" to 6'1" and XL 6'1" to 6'6". I am right in the middle at 6'1". I can get the Large and have me be at the end of the size limit, or an XL and be at the front of the limit. Trek is running low on these bikes and the local bike shops...

    New Trek FX+1 ?

Yea but Trek is a good company, nice bike if that's what your looking for. Who cares if it's proprietary or not while your ridding it? You could have years and years of ridding and not have to worry anything about it being proprietary. My brake actuator went out in my Prius. I ordered a new...

Switching Chain Housing To Go All The Way Without Bare Wire

My Ride1up 700 has a shifter cable that has the black housing all the way down until the middle of the back of the bike. The housing ends and has a bare cable for a few inches, then goes back into the housing. I see this was common on bikes 20 years a go. At two bike shops (Trek and...

    Chain wear gauge?

fyi, Just for references, I know a person who goes through about 15 chains a year on his bike. He does ride a lot. I didn't change my chain when I needed and now im in for a cassette, chain, front chain ring and shifter cable.

Want to Buy a Large Frame Direct From China?

I have a ride1up 700. The frame only comes in one size (big medium). It's to small so I have a longer stem and my seat all the way back. Their are other companys with the same frame that's branded to their company, that has Medium and a Large, so I know they make them. I would like to buy a...

Aventon Level 500w Upgrade to 1000W or Higher?

Keep in mind going faster then 28 on a bike is not the same as that on say, a motorcycle. I've had my bike at 30mph and I slowed down. You want to regularly go faster on a cheaper priced bicycle, your asking for trouble. Be careful, only saying this because I care about you. The reason I...

    2,500 (2,650) mile review 700

I did a review when I first got my bike, then a thousand mile review and thought I'd update since I passed the 2,500 mile stage. The Ride1up 700 has performed flawless. After 2,500 miles no problems at all except a couple spokes broken. I noticed the new spokes I replace are softer. The stock...

Looking for a Luna copy off brand 48v charger

Interesting. I was getting about 32 miles per charge and since I started using my charger that Mike_V critacized me for, I got 45.5 miles today. With a 260 pound rider I didn’t think that was possible. Not sure what else it could be because the only thing I did was change my charger.

    1,000-Mile review of 700 ST

Thank you for the update. I’ve had my bike for 28 days and I’m coming up on 700 miles so you’re just ahead of me. Before I bought my bike, I bought a Deore derailer also, but since mine shifts perfect, I never put it on. My bike shifted perfect right out of the box.

Need information on what spokes are on our 700 bikes please

Nope, not on Facebook. I do check their Facebook page because it’s public but I can’t respond. I almost can’t get any real support other than from Kevin. I asked him how I could contact him but he never responded.

Need information on what spokes are on our 700 bikes please

Thank you for the link. I wonder if ours are, “ Radius knitting needle spokes”? These come with copper nipples. I wonder if ours are copper? I was hoping to have the same nipples but I don’t know what size nipples with ours since there’s a whole bunch of different ones. They list four...

Need information on what spokes are on our 700 bikes please

I was going for a ride yesterday and did a quick pre-check on everything and found a broken spoke in the back. Support lists “12 gauge, stainless steel spokes.” When I look on the Internet, most sites have between 6 and 15 different types of spokes. Single butted, double butted, triple butted...

Looking for a Luna copy off brand 48v charger

The charger that comes with our bikes is the lowest sans charger they make. It’s actually for skateboards. The retail is $17.99. To get a higher quality charger with a fan and everything is not going cheap. Many times there are products made at the same factory that have different labels on...

My amps were set at 18 Ride1up suggest 11

No, 3A won’t hurt it. With these cells we can go up to 6A it but that’s about as high as you want to go. The “DC connector” would probably get too hot as it’s used on lower amperage units. I’d really like to get an inexpensive 4A with a fan but they really jump up in price. Hard to find a good...
