Need NEW conversion motor for Kalkoff E-bike

I have a new 2010 Kalkoff E-Bike that I would like to convert over to a BAFANG or TOSeven Mid Engine motor.
Does anyone have any type of experience doing this or has heard of anyone doing this?
I have been told that Kalkoff ebikes do NOT have a BOTTOM BRACKET SHELF that these other motors can hook onto- Is that correct ?
Would I have to weld one on??

A bicycle bottom bracket isn't a shelf. It is a short tube that houses bearings for the crankset. If your bike doesn't have one, you will have a hard time installing a motor that is intended to mount into one.

Someone sent me this picture, that they said was of a Kalkoff frame, I am not sure if the round hole is the Bottom Bracket, its such a bad picture, and I have not been able to remove my motor to see whats there
Can anyone confirm if this is the picture of a Kalkoff Pronnect S

There may be a place to mount the bottom bracket, but that looks like a proprietary motor mount that would get in the way and you would have to remove. @PedalUma has mounted a lot of these mid-motor kits and could probably provide better direction on that. Personally, I think you would be better off using a different donor bike for your kit.

Yes; That is for a 2010 24V 200W Panasonic motor. Use a standard frame with an english bottom bracket shell that is 38.8 in its inner diameter and 68-73 in width. I think this is the person in San Diego who emailed me today.

Run for the Hills - Thank you for your input, But I have waited 15 years to use this bike,being in storage and out of the country, then having to buy it in England (There were NO EBIKES in the US in 2009) then paying to FedEx it here, then paying customs, then paying to store it, I won't give up until I get it to work. I guess I'm pigheaded about this, but went to TOOO much trouble so far. I dont want to quit. I know I can buy a new bike but...I am waiting for reply from

The sunk cost fallacy is a cognitive bias where individuals continue a failing endeavor. Don't be that person. Put your motor kit on a bicycle that will be a joy to ride and own, not some old project that you put away for 15 years and forgot about. There are so many better choices out there that would only cost a few hundred dollars to pick up on Craigslist.

Exactly. This woman's starter bike was $100 at a yardsale. It was a Covid buy and never ridden. I gave it some upgrades and installed the motor and battery. The tires had a seam flap of rubber along the center. New its a $900 starter bike. Now it will rundown and pass $14,400 bikes from stores and will all the feel of a real bike. And with so much classic style and no chunky clunkiness. How many eBikes have polished crankarms and a silver motor?
