Winter Sucks

I don't even want to walk the 100 yards out to the mailbox & back with conditions like this. +1F at noon with a wind chill of -18F. A 24+ MPH headwind would make for a rather uncomfortable ride.

Are you sure... I've found working on a new trampoline in the rain at 52° with a SW 4 mph wind to be very similar.

I drank some heating fluid last week and made a snow angel wearing nothing but a bathing suit.

It took this much to get me warmed up enough,..

It was last Friday before the Polar Vortex though, and the snow was all warm and fluffy.


I'm normally Vado induced couch-locked all winter long, but once in a while I'll go on a bender.

Sixty bucks for five seeds, but they coincidentally threw in a couple Auto Northern Lights Feminized Seeds for FREE !!

And speaking of Conspiracies, I'm sure that we have the technology to Automate the Northern Lights with our submarine operated light switch.
I'm sure that it's got a dimmer dial so we can adjust the intensity and colors.

They should make Auto Southern Cross Feminized Seeds for our Australian friends, and Auto St. Elmo's Fire Feminized Seeds for all the boaters.
Pot plants Love to eat lots of light. I'm sure they can eat plasma too.

Growing an awesome pot plant on your boat would be Fricken Cool.

It is now 3 PM I have been restoring and tuning two thrashed and rusted bikes that were left out in the weather for a couple of years, since 7 AM this morning. The paint was oxidized so were all the aluminum parts. I have not gone for a ride or two as usual. As soon as I get on the boiled in wax chain on one and paint the second side of its kickstand I am done for the day. I have been so OCD on these bikes that I have barely eaten. My goal it to floor the owners with dropped jaws so I get tips, five-star reviews, and they tell everyone. With the weather getting better things are picking up. I have five bikes in for service that each need a ton of work and the phone is ringing. I will edit here in an hour with photos of the two thrashed bikes.

I decided to walk the 270 meters to the LCBO to stock up on heater fluid.

It is now 3 PM I have been restoring and tuning two thrashed and rusted bikes that were left out in the weather for a couple of years, since 7 AM this morning.

It is now 6:45 PM I am on my fourth shot of Icy Canadian Vodka.
They had the cliché Canadian Polar Ice available with the Iceberg and Polar Bear, but I went with the Skiing resort town of Banff because it was a buck cheaper.

On another front, I have been combining and tuning two motors to work together to make a rear wheel drive dual motor ebike.

The paint was oxidized so were all the aluminum parts.

My ebike is in great shape and the mid-drive motor is brand new.

I have not gone for a ride or two as usual.

I have not worked on my ride in over a month.

As soon as I get on the boiled in wax chain on one and paint the second side of its kickstand I am done for the day.

My chain is freshly cleaned, boiled and waxed, waiting to be installed.

I have been so OCD on these bikes that I have barely eaten.

I have been so Lazy AF that I barely eat because I don't wanna cook.
All I have in my fridge and freezer are ingredients, and I don't wanna spend money on restaurant food.

My goal it to floor the owners with dropped jaws so I get tips, five-star reviews, and they tell everyone.

My goal is to Impress the Hell out of everyone, especially myself by getting my damn ebike put back together before next winter.

With the weather getting better things are picking up.

With the weather heating up in a few days, I'm anxious and disappointed with myself because I may never ride my ebike again.

My goal is just sitting here beside me, and we're both firmly Locked into the couch.

I have five bikes in for service that each need a ton of work and the phone is ringing.

I've only got the one ebike that I'm servicing and it doesn't need much work at all.

I have my phone shut off and never answer it.

I will edit here in an hour with photos of the two thrashed bikes.

I will edit here hopefully within a year with photos of my two motored ebike.

Unfortunately, I have no ambition or appetite.
Food is like medicine.

The Vado and Vodka are goin down Real Easy though.

Maybe I'll just drink a can of mushroom soup or a half dozen eggs.

Quick and easy.
Like pulling off a band-aid.

I'm planning on doing laundry tomorrow.

DHL delivered the battery so it should be able to survive the rinse cycle without catching

Everything else seems to be thin crust crispy stuff.

I remember calculus as the study of limits.
Where do we draw the line at the reduction of pizza crust (which is just waste anyway) in to thin crust and beyond?

Perhaps skip the dough all together (especially with Coeliac disease running rampant) and just put pizza toppings into a drinkable form in a can.

Sure, but low effort means lower attention and then you set your toaster oven on because you forgot how to work it.

Actually, my combination toaster and microwave oven is from 1989 and does a great job of protecting me from myself.
It's shuts off when it overheats.

The newer Specialized stuff has way better protection with the NDA disclosure clause.
It gets you a new battery, ebike and TONS of in your pocket.

I remember when dad put a ladder up against the so we could climb on to the roof and jump off.

Landing in the 10 feet of fluffy snow was Fun AF !!!
(Well, maybe only 5 feet of snow.

Had a little scare last night when I lost power for about 15 minutes. Not long after I grabbed a flashlight, set up an LED lantern and reported the outage, it came back on. Was dreading the thought of setting up the generator, but I guess my bi_fuel insurance policy is still in effect.
On the bright side the big pot of soup came out excellent and dinner was only delayed by a few minutes.
