Velotric Discover 1 Plus Step-Through Carry up two sets of stairs?

If you were to take the battery out of the bike, I'm guessing it's about 55 lbs, then that would make another trip for the battery though. It all depends how fit you are, I'm sure it would be awkward carrying it up 2 flights of steps, but doable. I own it's little brother the breeze 1 which is 50 lbs with the battery and I could do it with that bike, but I don't think I'd want to do it everyday. Do you have any other options?

According to their official product pages, the Breeze 1 weighs 12 lb less than the Discover 1 Plus. Huge difference for the carry you're facing, though like @Underdog , I wouldn't want to carry either one up or down 2 flights on a daily basis. We own a Breeze, so that's from experience.

What makes you favor the Discover?

Cheap :) and it looks very similar to my current ebike and specs similar but better (hydraulic brakes) and I can’t quite afford the Breeze. Close but not quite enough $$

I think you’re right. I have a small commerical scale at work. I will see if I can get an accurate weight on my current bike.

The Velotric Discover 1 Plus Step-Through weighs 60 pounds and costs $1,800 CAD, plus tarriffs, duty, and cross boarder shipping.

It's got A Lot of proprietary, unnamed parts,..

The Voltbike Elegant is a similar ebike with a similar price, but it's put together and shipped from Canada 🇨🇦.
It weighs 61 pounds.

Almost all the parts are brand name components, even the bottom bracket is a brand name part,..

Much cheaper here in CAD thus why I was asking about taking it up and down stairs.

Yeah, that part sucks. 😁
I have a hard time getting my 90 pound ebike in and out of the house.
I build a ramp off my back porch.

You could always just ride it up the stairs, if you feel so inclined. 😁

LOL nice! It’s kinda unfortunate my building doesn’t have space for a bike. Mind you I never asked the property manager. He is grumpy! I try to avoid him at all costs.

I'm sure that if you need to get it up there after a few times of trial and error, you can work out a system and get comfortable with it. Don't let it deter you from doing something, try different methods of holding and gripping the bike as you go up, you'll figure out what works best.

Very important.

Carrying just wasn't an option with my first ebike — an awkward 70 lb white step-thru. Wasn't just the weight. There were no good handholds for lifting or carrying.

But carrying became a viable option with this 38 lb gravel/fitness ebike. Took quite a few tries to find the best grip for stairs. The roughly balanced grip point in the middle of the top tube turned out to be key. Getting it up these stairs wasn't easy, but they're no longer a barrier, just an annoyance.
