Discover 2 and, soon, Nomad 2

The Discover 2 looks like (and sounds like) such a nice bike. If I hadn't just bought another new bike a few weeks ago, I would have been looking HARD at this one. The Nomad 2, when it comes out, should be a clear winner over others, like Rad, Lectric and even Aventon. The current Nomad, even without the torque sensor, gives them a ride for the money already. The Nomad 2 should be a home run.

I've had a Nomad1 for about a year and I use it mostly to commute to and from work which is about 14 miles total. It's been rock-solid.

Remember...one thing that the original Nomad had that made it stand out from others in this category was the low end torque and very quick acceleration. Recent models, like the Nomad 1 Plus have gone away from this and adopted a more gradual & controlled acceleration. It will be interesting to see if they will retain the current characteristics or go back to the peppy quickness of the original.

The Nomad 2 will be out soon. I've been testing it for several months. Main features: 750 watts (1300 peak), 90Nm of torque and the motor is SUPER quiet, 15 PAS levels, torque sensor AND cadence sensor (you can switch in the menu), hydraulic brakes, 203mm front brake rotors and 180mm in the rear, 100mm travel in the front suspension, push button cruise control, OTA firmware updates, Apple Find My (also supported by Android), 500 lumen headlight, rear turn signals and brake lights, large horizontal color display, 720Wh battery (UL Listed), suspension seatpost, adjustable stem, IPX6 bike and IPX7 battery. Let me know if you have any questions! For bonus, here's a picture.

Sounds awesome! I'm maxed out on e-bikes, though (5).

@tgianco, My problem is down to eight. I am trying to sell one red eBike and three are analog, so I will be with you soon at five eBikes. Two are new and have never been ridden, one has a broken clutch. And one is not really mine because I get to use it for free because of my job, which is being paid to ride bikes in the cutest town in Nor. Cal. all day. Here is one of the analog bikes I am also selling. It has a long wheelbase, carbon fork, and carries 350 pounds off-road with sturdy gravel components.

Looks pretty good. Still just 2 piston brakes or 4? Does it retain the quicker acceleration but less top speed like the Nomad 1 or how is it different? With those motor specs it should be capable of both! It should make a nice companion to my Discover 2!

Two piston. 4-piston would be better, but I think the larger front rotor helps a lot on this particular ebike. Top speed is a bit faster than the Nomad 1, but acceleration is a bit less. I think Velotric dialed it down a bit since the Nomad 1 has lots of torque on the low end which made some people nervous. I have a Nomad 1 and I enjoy the torque.
