So as someone new to ebiking, choosing the right ebike was a real struggle. As an older rider, I needed more comfort; less aggressive posture, softer seat, comfortable grips, etc, but the inner kid in me also wanted the fun factor in riding. So after tons of research, I decided on the Cube cross hybrid pro 500. After adding in the needed comfort upgrades, I think I just may have hit the mark with my purchase: after a couple hundred miles of mixed riding, I find it is perfect for light/moderate trail riding and also does quite well on gravel and pavement. The Bosch CX gen 4 motor delivers a surprising amount of torque in steep climbs and gently falls away as you approach 20 mph. My only gripe is that the rear fender is prone to shifting when bumped (yes, I've tightened the screws). No biggie, I just push it back so it doesn't rub on the tire but still annoying when it happens. Overall, for anyone looking for a mid-price ($3-4K) range cross bike, I think this bike is a good choice with quality components and performance.

As I've gotten more and more used to my Cube Cross Hybrid Pro, I've become more aggressive in my trail riding. Nothing crazy, mind you - after all it is Cross bike and not a full eMTB. However a big part of this has been the addition of a Suntour suspension seat post. It's no substitute for a full suspension eMTB but now I can take a bit of a rough ride without constantly yelling "ouch!" and having my teeth chatter. It was good $127 investment to up the "Fun factor" on this bike. Highly recommended for hardtails going on trails.

I like the colour combo. 
Slightly past 1 year of ownership, I am now at just above 1600 miles on the odometer. I've really become one with this bike and grown much more confident taking on some of the rough trails here in Washington and Oregon. At the same time, this bike also allows me a gentle and pleasurable meandering ride along the lakeshore when I feel a bit more mellow. You know you've picked the right bike for yourself when it meets your every riding mood. No buyer's remorse here!

Regarding the speed sensor , have you checked the spoke magnet? It may have come out of position.
