I watched video 3 times. It's fake hey buddy video me while I cut the look on my bike in public.
This has to have been staged: there’s no world in which thieves would blissfully ignore someone recording them from a few feet away in broad daylight … If it was from across the street with a telephoto lens, ok; if it was dark and they couldn’t clearly tell they were being recorded because it was done surreptitiously, maybe. But this, with a phone being pointed at them at eye level in the middle of the day? C’mon…
I assume, like far too many things these days, this was done to drive up their social media hits.
It is not a fake. Several months ago, an expensive e-bike belonging to a Member of Parliament was identically stolen in broad daylight, Herne Hill in London, not a bad neighbourhood. Nobody has reacted.
My London based girlfriend had survived through this accident not long time ago:I have always instilled it in all three of my Autistic sons, now 30, 29 and 32, NEVER EVER get involved, material things can be replaced, call the Police, if YOU are mugged hand it over and run
It was in Brixton. She was by a local townhall. Suddenly, there was a guy pursuited by another guy brandishing a shotgun. She was listening to the music and did not instantly realised what was happening. When she did, the shotgun guy was just being close to her. She froze motionless, seeing the barrel so close to her. The shooter bypassed her by inches.
It was her to post the the link to the video on her social media. Her comment was: "Do not judge people not reacting. On every single day, someone gets stabbed in London".
As I said, I do understand.

Once, I lived in a hotel in Old Kent Road, South London. The local barbershop was ruined, blood around, broken windows, police van standing by. We went for a walk for a restaurant and later for craft beer. We were returning at some 3 a.m. The police van was still there. On the opposite side of the street, there were some local people. As the beer was talking for me, I smiled and engaged in a conversation with these bystanders. They laughed and said: "What is a little fight in South London about? Nothing at all!"
