Worth waiting for the 2020 Bosch motors?

There are some killer deals out now on outgoing 2019 motors powered by the Bosch CX, and I also like how the CX has had five years of proven reliability. I am wondering if I am better to wait at this point for the next gen Bosch motor.

Looking to get some thoughts. Everything that I have read about the new 2020 motors says that they are a big improvement all-around, but my only concern is the long-term reliability. Just like I wouldn't buy a first-year car of a new model, I am skeptical about the motor.

I thought they would be quieter but I heard the speed and it sounded like my speed. but it has a lot more torque. the built in battery will add a lot to to the cost and weight. remember there will always be a new version.

remember there will always be a new version.

Sage advice.

Honestly, decide if the old Bosche meets your riding needs. If it does, then do your pocketbook a favor and take the deal.

That being said, when I was buying a bike a year ago, I liked the Brose motors because of how quiet they are. There were great deals on the older Brose T motor, but the Brose S had just a little more torque and less weight. I test rode both and honestly couldn't tell the difference going around the block.

I ended up paying more to get the newer 2018 S, and to be honest, I still get a certain satisfaction out of that. I guess it's also about what type of person (how cheap vs. how techy) you are.

right before I bought my bulls with this years speed motor I had a eg with a dapu 500 watt mid drive. I could cruise at 20 with no real effort just spinning. 16 degree slopes were work where 14 is work on the Bosch. but thats with my limited energy levels. right now I am only getting at most 1 mph average faster on the dapu bike.
