I got it hooked up and downloaded the program and installed the driver's successfully but it just keeps saying connection timed out when I try to install it. Got Kevin on the phone and he helped me try to get it sorted but it still wasn't working so he says they are going to send me a new controller. I know everybody's experiences different but I can't complain about the service so far.

So today I got a code 25 'break' error ( their misspelling not mine) . It cuts off all power to the motor , the sensor that tells it you're using the brakes and cuts off motor power either needs adjusting or replacing. A few short yanks on the levers got it going again then I headed home to check the YouTube video and fix it. On the way home it happened a couple of more times which gave me the opportunity to figure out which lever was the issue. Turns out it was a simply an Allen screw on the brake lever that you need to turn a few times and it's fine.
I got my cloud 9 seat this afternoon and just took it for a quick ride. Feels great but at the risk of some abuse I'll say it does look a bit more "old ladyish" and I could live without the symbol on the back but it combined with the suntour ncx seatpost feels great on me bum.....oh and if you attach it to your seat post you have to remove that little assembly they include on the bottom designed to just clamp onto a post. No biggie....

222...you never did your video! And my 700 is scheduled to arrive in 2 days.Same. The ones on Youtube are either older or very short, neither with too much information. If I can get through my shyness, maybe when my 700 ST arrives, I will do a video. Haha!
That's a lot different than my Cloud9 seat. Mine is more narrow and has no springs. I ended up taking it off and putting back on my BV seat that has metal springs. I have suspension seat post that was included on my Trek bike that isn't that good and 35c tires, so a bike with 2.4" tires and a good suspension seat post will be a smoother ride. Maybe next spring.
I wish it was a bit narrower but it is comfortable, especially combined with the seatpost

I just got the new controller today and with my usual lack of patience I installed it after work with the sun on it's way down but it seems to be working properly now regarding the throttle when pedaling in PAS. Any questions feel free.....

It's been running. I have almost 300 miles on it. The only 'issue' with the controller was while pedaling in PAS if you hit the throttle you got nothing. Other than that the spokes needed tightening, I believe that's fairly common, and I had to adjust the screw for the EBS ( electronic brake sensor)- that was a simple turning of a screw a few rotations that took less than a minute. They've been very responsive and besides I don't mind turning a wrench. I mean if I was a more modern type and I didn't know which end to hold I might feel different
I don't think the controller's are specific to them .
Someone on FB had been trying to run down a controller (outside of getting one from Ride1up) with additional info he got about the controller from Ride1Up, and he still was not able to find one. So, hopefully Ride1Up will be able to provide spares for years to come.
