"Yeah but it's a dry cold" pisses off a most Northern dwellers, but I think that there's some credence to the expression.
I remember being FREEZING
Damp air fluctuating between sublimation and condensation absorbs HUGE amounts of energy.
Water truly is magical stuff.
It's the only substance known that loses density when it condenses to a solid.
Without that unique property of water, life as we know it couldn't exist.
The oceans would freeze from the bottom up.
(but that wouldn't matter anyway cuz we gots subs that can nuke the ice and put it where its supposed to be.
