Winter riding: Wet Leaves on Trails?

Wet leaves? I avoid wet leaves like the plague. Dry leaves, no problem. My only three serious accidents occurred under wet grass/leaves/Icey conditions. I no longer ride when the trails/road/grass are wet or Icey.

My Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus tires arrived today; good timing. I turned back from a stretch of road in my nearby provincial park today as the slightly icy/slushy surface was feeling very unreliable to my Marathon 365 tires. The spikes will go on tomorrow, and I notice the rear 365 has worn quite a bit, but not the front tire.
I checked my chain and it needs to be replaced as well. Brakes are fine. Still need to check the rear 11-46 cassette.
