Winter Cycle gloves/Overshoes

My usual glove size is also a large but measuring according to the sizing chart it puts me on the upper end of XXL which doesn’t make sense. Makes me a bit hesitant to order without being able to try them on.
If you do get the wrong size, I find their service to be very responsive. My heated socks developed a seam opening inside the toe and the wires were bothersome. They sent a new pair straight away, complete with batteries, only asking for a photo.

I just got these gloves, and I highly recommend them! Got caught in the rain and my hands stayed dry and warm. Super toasty! $22. They run small, so since I have large hands (for a woman), I bought the large...

I would like to register a complaint against those Kingbom gloves that I recommended in the previous post. They have one drawback. They don't have any hook'n'latches sewn on them to hitch them together so you don't lose one. Which I did 😭. So I had to order another pair. 😏 Onto which I am going to sew some hook'n'latches. (Or whatever you call them.)

They must be good if I'm buying them twice!

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m getting ready to move to a cold weather riding area so will be picking some of these up promptly. I may be odd in this way but I actually wear riding gloves almost year round for the wind burn on my hands and knuckles, obviously I wear the lightest I can find for summer.

Scottsdale cold? 🤣

😁A bit of an oxymoron for sure but in process of moving to Illinois where it’s nice and cold in the winter, my kids don’t know what’s in store, I grew up there so remember it well
Actually, some of my coldest nights were in the Mojave desert. Just teasing a bit. I ride year-round when winter streets are clear. In Minnesota. But not this week when day temps are in the single digits.

~ freezing temperatures ~
Disposable nitrile rubber gloves,
my " under gloves."
In extreme cold, nitrile as waterproof liners can be a nightmare. If you do really ride any distances in sub-freezing weather you've likely experienced damp hands in nitrile getting REALLY cold. Having worked and played outdoors most of my working life, from -10F to 115F, I find that recommendation anecdotal, and in fact quite dangerous in arctic cold conditions. Or Minnesota much of the winter. I imagine CT is very close to the same.

Right now, 3F. High 13F low of -6F

Nice, I’m definitely planning to invest in some good gear to make my rides better, my commute is dropping from 10 miles to 3 miles so should be pretty easy and more about safety than anything, hoping to commute year round minus the really bad storms that are unsafe and will hop in the car those days or wfh, not moving until March so should be past the worst of it and have time to prep for next winter!
