Will this work?

I have a Bafang m620 750W 25A Canbus motor. I want to replace the existing controller with a 1000W 30A Canbus version.
Will this result in a m620 1000W 30A Canbus motor?

Just a WAG, but my bet would be the 2 controllers would be the same, other than the max amps setting, and that may be questionable. Are you SURE that the motor you're looking at is set for 25a max, or could this be some advertising mumbo jumbo designed to avoid legal trouble?

I don't know how you plan on using this bike/motor, but I'm wondering just how much you would notice the 25a vs 30a performance. I have to question if it would be worth the time, money, trouble to make this swap....

I have the earlier UART based motor set at 30a, and the bike has some pretty serious grunt. I'm not sure how often I would notice anything different if I were to change the 30a setting to 25a....

Mine maybe closer to 20A. Sondors has detuned it down to 95nm. I want to reclaim those 65nm. Since it's Canbus my only option is changing the controller.
(WW is a total mess and not an option)
Hence, my question. Will changing the controller accomplish my goal? Any reasons it will not? Is the 160nm for real? Is the difference between 95nm and 160nm significant in terms of climbing?

I agree with the sprocket change - do the simple/easy stuff first! If it's climbing you're after, use your gears!
