Their racks work fine with carbon. No weight is carried on the frame of the bike - its all on the thru axel. They discuss this in their product faq on the website.

Well, they do also attach to the swing-arm, right? You're probably right that the majority of the load is on the axle. Is there a picture of a OMM rack fitted to a full suspension carbon fiber bike? I scoured the site and didn't find one.
