Why eBikes Don't Count

The sad thing is, they buy that pinarello to climb with less effort(or more speed with the same effort).

Absolutely not! If you're able to cover the same terrain and distance on a Wally bike as a Pinarello, you are an elite athlete ;)
 
I wonder what he will do when he gets hurt or too old to ride a conventional bike. I'll bet he switches to an e-bike rather than give up cycling. Who knows, maybe he'll trade for an $8000 Pinarello Dyodo ebike.

 
At my age, 68, and with the back and foot injuries I have suffered over the years, I am grateful to be able to ride when I can. The E-bike gives me range I wouldn't otherwise qualify for. What other people think of me is none of my business
