I don't hate Green Bay but Rodgers and the Packers beat the Steelers back in 2010 so that makes it hard for me to root for them

Well the Steelers do have 6 rings regarding "for now" Ben might have one year left before retirement so it's now or never. Plus my son, born in 2006, is a Steelers fan and the last time they won the Super Bowl was in 2009 so I was really hoping they'd make a run as be doesn't remember the last time. Oh well what can you do. Hays good one

As a packers fan, I have exactly the same issues. Rodgers is 37 and has done well but not gotten back to a second SB. It’s likely now or never for him also. I just want him to get one more so he can forever have one more than Farve, who I’m so sick of. That “gunslinger” holds records for interceptions!

IMHO Favre was always overrated. In the big moment for every 2 passes that made John Madden swoon like a love struck teenager he threw a pic. Plus I'm not a big fan of his personally. I guess that good ol boy with the Wranglers and the old pickup truck had a certain hokey appeal to some. Rodgers looks better than Ben though.

The anthem thing is about many things, including millionaire football players still getting profiled/pulled over. I knew black coworkers who were getting stopped by cops outside our R&D center when we worked late at night in the 90's. Having money and a good job don't help if they say your tail light is broken. At the same time, I share your fears. My sister-in-law was carjacked. The last time I was in Chicago, I thought these kids were playing rock, paper, scissors, but they were shooting gang signs at our car until they saw we were harmless viejos.

Oh hell, watching football is fun. The KC win was something. Brady vs Rodgers next week.

I've only been in Chicago once but we stayed along the river in the Sheraton and that area was beautiful in my opinion. The river looked clean and nice, lots of little outside areas to eat and drink along it, took a nice river tour at night with the family. I also liked the fact that there was a beach we could walk to from the hotel. It was pretty cool to have that right in a major city, I'm not use to that. I guess there's crime in that area but we avoided the south side.
