Just short of ordering a new crank puller, I just watched a You Tube video where you can use your square taper puller in combination with the crank bolt with the plastic collar removed. Worked like a charm! The crank arm pulled right off. This idea was absolutely brilliant!
Okay, then remove the nut with a 14mm socket. Then oil all parts and threads of the puller including the contact tip. Screw in the outer threads all the way. Then screw in the inner threads.
