When Paris started dropping cars

Sir Ronster is addressing the lawless nature of emotorcycle behaviour.

Hes the number one representation of the culture at the moment and hes giving it some home truths.

Its all getting a bit crackers over there, worth watching right through.

I posted it because hes talking about it and hes a major influencer to the participants, Im sure it will make peoples blood boil, but this affects us directly.
Kids being kids, 60s motorcycle gangs revisited, except no one confused Harleys with pedal bikes

Mountain bikers ride off-road, especially in the mountains :) Or, they do Cross Country. You do both.

We, however, discuss the cycling infrastructure of a big city.

I'm sure Amsterdam or Copenhagen have this. Not sure about Paris. (The sign reads "Doesn't apply to bicycles").

Here's a long City of Warsaw street where bicycles have the priority, and even dedicated street crossings.
Cant hear you, stop shouting at that bus .

Was to Margate in August 2025. Wouldn't like the 1964 happen again.

I actually got involved in the 80s Mod revival kickoffs, accepted a lift on a Lambretta with my Mod mates and next thing theyre scrapping Bikers.

I scooted out of there..literally.

Can you recognise me? :) The man standing is a future Vice Minister of Internal Affairs :) No, I was not a Skinhead. I liked the style for a while :) (1981)

On those days, I moved around Warsaw on trams. One afternoon, I was approached by a guy who was obviously a former convict.
-- Have they just released you? -- he started
-- Well, yes? -- I replied
-- How come? They give the shave as a penalty? -- he insisted
-- Mind your own business, mate -- It was my stern reply. He backed off quickly.

The man was convinced I had just escaped a prison! :D :D :D

My mistake was I started growing a mustache and beard the same month. As I was leaving the pharmaceutical plant I had practices in, people whispered: "See? Lenin lives forever!" :D :D :D

It's a legally licensed motorcycle. He never tried to pass it off as an ebike. Hope buyers can control it properly in traffic.

Otherwise, as long as it sticks to places where motorcycles are already legal and stays off bikeways, who cares?

Ah Stefans Trainspotting days

i mean … i personally do it every day and have designed a few million square feet of office space in a couple major cities around the world in which bicycle parking is required.

i use this one every day, added at a very low cost to a building from the 1960s.

I see these kinds of racks in underground parking garages in NYC. They are not in isolated rooms, rather tucked into nooks and crannies that cannot fit a car. They are free to use. Bring your own lock. I'm not sure if e-bikes are restricted.

Can I just say, Nasa is returning to manned Moon spacelight next weekish and it will change everything.
When the world watches Earthrise in 4K and the astronauts repeat a dream of a mankind for all.
The entire game will reset.
No one under 60 has seen this in real time from a human perspective.
A perfectly timed event for us to stop and think.
