How much do you weigh and how are you figuring the 500w part of the equation?

I don't know about @Mike Smith, but I'm 282 lb and 5' 11. I just recently tried the Focus impulse mid drives and OMG they are powerful. More than enough for my large frame. Definitely going mid drive 350 Focus system.

That's why I ask. I'm 220 and my 350w (36v) Haibike hauls me with ease.

I must have missed that post. If that's that case then I too would be interested in what he's riding these days. He might travel too much now to justify owning his own bike??? That would suck!
