What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

Excuse my ignorance...but what is a carbon sticker and where do you get them?
I believe this is what OVT used but he might have a different link. There's tons of colors available including glossy and matte instead of carbo fiber.

I have the same battery from the same seller, it developed a fault where it would cut out after 2 miles. It took me 3 months and hours and hours of e-mails and chat messages to finally get them to replace it. First they will ask you to return it to them so they can repair, you will have to pay return delivery cost which will be about half the battery price. I refused to send it back as did not see why I should have to pay delivery charge. So far replacement battery OK.

I'm sorry for that :(. Fortunately, my battery works without problems after a few hundred km and i can ride over 100km on the Power mode.
 
New upgrade to my bike: 20W 2000lumens LED projector. I found this to a shop and it fits perfectly on the bike, it has the same colors black and blue. :D :D :D

Colors match great and I bet that is very bright, lol.
Are you powering it from the bike battery? It says 20W but that would mean it's drawing 4 amps through the USB port which exceeds the specs of most USB delivery systems. I suspect you are running it from a good USB power bank or else they might be fudging their specs a bit (which is pretty common).

Regardless I bet you have the brightest bike in your area!

it has its own 6600mAh battery.
 
I am wondering what is the difference between this motor and other geared hub motors. I've read that it has metal gears as opposed to nylon, but I have found little more information regarding this. If my motor stops functioning can I buy a das-kit somewhere else or replace the gears with those of a Bafang? I'm just curious as to what information anyone has in regard to these motors. I have an NCM aspen and so far I love it, but I am concerned that if it quits functioning (motor) then I wan't have a way to power the bike as leoncycle.com doesn't sell motors except in kits for smaller rimmed bikes. I guess I could take the motor off of the wheel and use it on mine and have it respoked if the need should arise.
Calibike was selling a 1000w kit with a wheel that will plug directly to the moscow wire harness without need
of the whole kit. it will also fit most connectors. It´s only ´1000w´ because of higher rpm. basically a 500w.
Bought one when my juiced went south. Motor & whl still work fine, but that bike is now just parts. If my
present bike needs one, i now have a spare. The kit was quite reasonable; I could use it to convert a 2nd bike.
 
I just bought a new bikelight from aliexpress and it looks very powerful. They say it has 6000 lumens but I doubt, in any case it is as strong as the car headlight.They say it has T6 led but looks more like the CREE xm-l2 u3.

Another opinion. I changed the power mode to ECO and it seems to me that it works much more naturally, just like the bosh mid drive motors.I am much happier now than before because it does not go very quickly when i press the pedal. It happened to me a few times when I was in traffic and waiting for the green light, I accidentally pressed the pedal and the bike got up on a wheel.It was very dangerous.So now the display shows me only 3 quarters of the power bars but i can reach the same speed as before. I am very curious what will be the autonomy on ECO mode with the new battery 1008Wh 48v, 21Ah. Considering that it is cold outside I would be very satisfied if I have a range between 120-150km.Maybe someone with the same battery as mine tested eco mode and can tell me what is the maximum range. :)

No doubt about it, the das kit is really goosey on take off. My solution is this. I always hold down
the brake cut off lever when mounting or adjusting pedal position, & avoid accidentally bumping
the throttle. It can´t jump if it has no power. Colder weather is already sapping power from my
battery.

Thanks for your answer,I didn't think to hold down the brake to cut off lever, yeah the kit it's very goosey,Once I was about to hit a car while waiting for the green light when i accidentally pressed the pedal, so I left the acceleration button at 6km / h and switched to ECO mode, to reduce its power :)))), and i will make a battery cover to maintain the temp high. What mode you use? Eco, normal or power? And did you do a range calculation? This week i will make a 100km trip and i'll see what it's the maximum range on ECO mode on a single charge.

This Das-Kit X15R motor they said it has (80Nm of torque), i don't know what is the real torque of my kit( 48v, 21Ah, CT5-I5 controller, on flat road i can reach between 41 and 45km/h), it is quite strong even if it is not very big, I climbed without problems very inclined areas with 30km / h on power mode.
 
This Das-Kit X15R motor they said it has (80Nm of torque), i don't know what is the real torque of my kit( 48v, 21Ah, CT5-I5 controller, on flat road i can reach between 41 and 45km/h), it is quite strong even if it is not very big, I climbed without problems very inclined areas with 30km / h on power mode.
I have the same motor, nothing it won´t climb. I´ve pedaled it to 25 mph without knocking myself out. It just
keeps getting stronger even at 4400 mi.

I'm glad to hear that, i was a little worried about the life time kit. I only did about 1600 km(994 miles) in a few months and there were days when I covered over 100 km in a few hours. I say km because i'm in Europe. :)
 
I ride a ET Cycles T-1000 with the Das-Kit and I just turn the motor off before I come to a stop and I will turn it back on once I am moving. I have my wife who also has an E-bike do the same thing.

What happen to her once sitting at a red light was she was standing beside her bike and she moved the peddles around to get back on and the bike took off on her. Lucky she held onto the bars and it pulled up in a wheelie and swung back around to her. She has the throttle where you twist the grip and so when the bike lurched forward part of her hand was on the throttle part of the grip so it twisted and made the bike take off even more.

So now we always just turn the power off before stopping and turn it back on once we are moving. Made a big difference in the safety of the bike.

Fortunately, I´m not hobbled by EU & UK restrictions, I am hobbled by leadership impotent &
incapable of agreeing on any course of action other than vested interests.

Honestly ebike or regular bike you should try and get in the habit of keeping the front brake held regardless. That keeps you anchored on the road as most stop lights have a little bias forward or back and on our bikes it disengages the motor so it can't kick on and surprise you. Likewise for bikes with throttles, keeping a brake on disengages the throttle from getting bumped.

Not sure what you ride, but mine is a moscow. It´s not a shredding mth. bike, but a solid, utilitarian
daily driver made with common generic parts instead of model specific parts that could take months
to replace. It´s cheap, but if taken care of it could last many years. I like the fact that even without
a battery it is still rideable.
