What is a 300X throttle?

There are a bunch of different "X" numbers describing throttles.
What does it mean?

Is it the number of increments in its rotation?

My throttles typically have around 90 degrees or less of rotation. The "standard" is they work between .40 and 4.5 volts, give/take a few tenths of a volt.

Buy whatever looks nice. They're like a 10 dollar part. Not the end of the world if you want another one. Most of mine look like the one in the middle, but I do have one that has the lever that swings horizontal. Don't care for twist throttles. Used one and got ride of it.

I was considering one like the first one. It is a solid cast aluminum, fully waterproof throttle and seems like a quality product but it's quite expensive and it won't fit on my right handlebar because it hangs below the bar and my shifters are in the way.

I've got two throttles right now working in tandem.

I added a twist throttle and took apart my thumb throttle to remove the spring and replace it with a rubber washer so it stays where I set it.
I use it as a cruise control.

I'm not liking the twist throttle though because it's hard to hang on to the handlebars when the road is rough, so I want to put my original grips back on.
Maybe I can install the thumb throttle on the left where there's more room?

I found this about the hall sensor throttle,..

So the throttle should read 0.8 volts at zero throttle and increase to around 4.3 volts at full throttle.

I was wondering if my 20X twist throttle increases from 0.8 volts to 4.3 volts in 20 increments and the 300X throttle does it in 300 increments? Or if they are both linear and 300X is just a model number or something?

I plugged my throttles into 5 volts and read the signal wire output.
The voltage rose smoothly from 0.8 volts to 4.2 volts.
So they are both completely linear.

Perhaps 300X is the new speed rating?
I'm sure the new ebikes are capable of 300 kph if properly equipped. Lol
