My question: is there a way to configure a remote near the hoods that controls the level of assist (e.g., cycles through none and the 3 levels)? This has been worked out for the Specialized Creo as a DIY, but that bike does not use ebikemotion.

Wow, that bike weighs less than my carbon fiber Cervelo! Geez, that is amazing. Just think of riding that, you could never use the motor until you hit a hill and only need it then. If the battery dies, so what it's still lighter the vast majority of bikes and the friction drive disengages so no drag.

I've got one on order from Bike24 [https://www.bike24.com/p2221461.html]. Also available directly from o_synce [https://www.o-synce-shop.de/shop/en/bike-computers/coachsmart/105/coachsmart-lev] at higher cost. You will also want to order whichever mounting option is appropriate to your needs; several options shown at Bike24.

I suspect it requires the ANT+ conversion kit [https://wilier.com/en/products/int/accessories/ant-conversion-kit-mahle-x35-ebikemotion-system]. Not sure if my Pinarello Dyodo (the arrival of which I'm anxiously awaiting) has ANT+, but suspect it doesn't. I'll find out soon enough....

I can confirm that the Garmin Edge 1030 can change the assist level on an Ebikemotion bike (I have an Argon 18 Subito E-Gravel). If the Garmin remote pairs via the Edge and not directly to the bike, it may work. Otherwise the bike might need the ANT+ adapter. But I was pretty excited that I could scroll up and down assist levels with the Edge.
