I wear a Garmin Fenix 5 as my everyday watch.
my garmin computer texted my daughter the two times we crashed. I always stopped the apple watch.. its fairly easy to set the apple watch off when I am working.Funny you should say that, an old colleague was actually saved by that feature after he slipped on icy steps going out into his backyard. He would’ve froze to death had it not been for a sheriff stopping by for a welfare check. I didn’t know that existed until a few months ago when I read his post on LinkedIn. I was very eager to get Watch 6 but was advised that I should wait for 7. I don’t know how the police or fire services will respond in Japan, but I hope my wife will come out to fetch me.
Also the original ridiculously expensive stainless bracelet on my current Watch 2 saved my wrist in a bike fall 3 years ago.
ya chect straps suck especially as many times as I ride a day.Polar-OH1: Wrist heart-rate monitor that replaces the chest-strap HRM.
Thankfully I’ve mostly retired from working - it makes things too complicated .I always stopped the apple watch.. its fairly easy to set the apple watch off when I am working.
You seem to be constantly riding out, Steve!ya chect straps suck especially as many times as I ride a day.
I average 3 times a day usually the two commutes then the tandem. I tried leaving a chest strap on but it sucks you sweat under it. Plus its a pain to get on and off. you have to take your shirt offYou seem to be constantly riding out, Steve!
