Just a bit more than one year after getting a Level V1, they are not making batteries for it anymore. I get less than 40 km (24 miles) on a charge doing pedal assist level 1 on relatively flat ground. I’ve been proactively trying to buy a spare for my level since last summer for longer rides. Never in stock, even though I signed up for notifications. Now with the battery lasting half what it should, a back-up is going from a nice-to-have to a need-to-have. You can only use Aventon’s custom batteries with the bike; if they don’t make it you can’t get one.

I get that batteries can degrade, I am not here to argue about whether it is Aventon’s fault or not. I should be able to buy a battery for a bike that is so new. Buy a bike from someone else who cares about their product over the long-term, or accept that once Aventon has your money and the warranty is done, your bike is essentially disposable.

You made a great point establishing the UL rating. good on you! It's a shame you followed up with inaccurate warnings like "could" and "potentially". Matching the BMS and build quality is really quite simple. And will make "could" and "potentially" just a sales pitch. Dare to be different and post the specifications best suited to your models. Frankly, your price point without cell descriptions is suspiciously low.

What is the difference between V1 an V2 terminal?
The SYR Mustang A type is available for 4pin (C-01-4AY) and 6pin (C-03-6AY) discharging terminal.
The SYR Mustang B type is only available for 6pin (C-05-6AY) discharging terminal.

Just a thought, assuming the Level V1s still for sale on your site have the original batteries, you could upgrade those remaining bikes to the new battery and terminal and then you would have some direct replacements for customers needing V1 batteries and those buying a 'new' bike aren't buying one with already discontinued parts. A little bit of extra work but much happier customers... assuming there are enough that need replacement V1s...

Both are just online sources for numerous battery builders. Many of those builders are just plain cheap junk.

What are the specs for a Level 1 battery? I can recommend a builder based on nearly a decade of buying, selling, and supporting batteries if you link me or share the battery you need. BTW i no longer sell or support products but can likely keep you out of the quagmire of cheap and dangerous builds.

This is NOT a proprietary case. And should be easy to find. There are LOTS of builders making batteries in that case. Unless they have a 3rd wire proprietary battery control, but even that is no mystery. Typically 5V to the third wire allows charging.
