Was Turbo X at Interbike?

For those of you who were at Interbike, was the Specialized Turbo X on display. Did anyone have a chance to demo it? If so, what are your thoughts?

Speacialized had minimal presence at the Interbike and no electric bikes this time.

Some of the bigger presence was from Giant, Shimano, Scott etc

Too bad. I was hoping for a thorough report on the Turbo X. The Turbo X seems like a good option if I want a not so obvious electric bike versus the Bosch bikes.

I am thinking I should wait until the 2015 bikes are out and reviewed before I make any decisions.

Yes, there are some very interesting bikes from Felt, Easy Motion, Currie and Stromer.
Worth waiting couple more months.

Many brands don't exhibit at Interbike and choose to have private dealer events instead. This was Specialized's first year not exhibiting following a trend Trek started. They did have bikes at outdoor demo and they also had folks on the ground.

I think the new Specialized bikes are going to be a big hit offering much of what the S does at a lower price and ultimately opening up their bikes to a wider audience. My local rep brought one by the shop a month ago and I bit. We're in the process of setting up an account with them as I feel they offer a very refined solution. I'll do my best to report some more when we get the bikes in, but I feel they'll be a contender.

Any news or rumors on when the new Turbos will hit the marketplace? -S

EDIT: Happy to answer my own question, they hit the shops here in the SW yesterday. -S

Let us know how you like it. It's been a long process being an electric only shop, but we should be one of the first electric only dealers for Specialized. I think the new Turbo's at the lower price point will be quite nice. The GoSwiss motor is one of the smoothest hub drive system on the market and the Turbo is a really attractive bike.

Hey Chris see my customer experience here, in short the power dropping issue has been passed down the product line, very disappointed. -S

Thanks Shea. I hope they work that out, I can ride my Superrace real hard up hills and into headwinds with no drop off, I work a little harder then on a Stromer or a Dash, but I'm still loving it. Maybe the Turbo has been built to just ride on flatter terrain o_O
