Wanted: Old Bosch Powerpack 400

Hi all,

Enjoying the site. Thanks to all contributers.

I'm wondering if anyone could help me locate an old Bosch Powerpack 400 with dead or dying cells. I have a second hand pack that the battery management systems has failed on, and am told won't be covered by the warranty (but that's another story).

I'm hoping someone knows someone, or has a battery nearing end of life they may consider parting with? I'm only actually after the BMS module, but I'd be happy to take a full battery pack (however, the shipping of the lithium cells would be problematic.)

Any other suggestions welcome.

You don’t want one with dead cells or near dead cells. At low enough voltage the BMS will be overwritten - planned suicide. Look for threads on this topic at endless sphere.

Wow, Bosch seem worse than Apple! Thanks for the tip.

I have purchased a new battery, and that's all fine, but I'm just wondering what to do with 40 perfect lithium ion cells. It an absolute waste to throw them out.

I'm so glad to hear you've purchased a new battery. Good choice. As for what to do with the 40 lithium ion cells, I'm certain someone one this Forum, a lot smarter than
I will have a correct and safe answer...Stay tuned
