Waiting for Wattwagon motor - USPS delays

Realistically, if someone doesn't believe you dropped off a package I'm not sure a picture would make any difference. Perhaps you could set expectations up front that USPS is having issues, but beyond that not much you can do once you ship if the USPS gremlins decide to mess with the package.
That does make sense. I think for small items, having a picture may help. Cant do that for the bike though.

Shipping is such a hit and miss issue these days. I've had brutal service from just about everybody, with UPS and FedEx being the absolute worst. It's got to a point, that if that's the only way to ship, I often but elsewhere.

I live in Canada, and when I've had things delivered by USPS, it's generally been fine. I think they deal with Purolator on this side of the border. Canada Post has historically been pretty good too, although I just had a less than stellar performance from them - but I was expecting it during Covid. It was one of those "delivery by EOD" tracking statuses that ended up being a week.

However, day in and day out, when I can, I request DHL. They have been the most consistent and they seem to take care of my packages better.

Finally, I have been consciously trying to buy local more than I ever have in my life, and I have always tried to support local if their pricing is in the ballpark. The problem these days, is that local businesses are often struggling to maintain stock of things I want or need. There are way too may things that one cannot get anymore unless you spend your $$ at the evil empire of that SOB (and I don't mean Seniors On Bikes) Bezos. He's destroying local businesses in so many places and he certainly doesn't appear to give damn about his employees.

Lastly, in regards to THIS thread, the OP certainly went for the FOX news headline (2x) - "being" ripped off rather than "feeling" ripped off are two different things. Shame on you... iMHO of course.

Shipping delay, though a general concern, is going to eventually affect those of us here anticipating WW's upcoming products like the superbike. First Pushkar waiting for parts to arrive and then customers waiting for the final bike delivery...😨

Dont say it
dont say it..
dont say it......

Just pray that the shipping gods are not angry with us...

USPS has an informed delivery service. It tracks your first-class mail and packages.

Wasn't Amazon wise when they decided to get into the delivery business.. With eCommerce expanding exponentially and all the carriers playing catch up.. I fully expect WW Pushkar to come up with an eco friendly answer we can all live with lol

Randall...I agree generally with your summation

Bezos is but the latest advance of this ‘market efficiency’. As Walmart, Big Boxes degraded Main Street, crushed the small timers Bezos has done the same thing e-commerce clubbing and cannibalizing small competitors. I’m not mechanic enough to ride a Walmart bike...but those WattWagons look desirable...look out for Walmart Pushkar

I don't visit Walmart much either. They are really just a very big logistics company, with mainly low quality, cheap, throw away stuff. There are some exceptions of course but I think you know what I mean. I reserve the right to be wrong of course. I sure do miss the old style hardware store where you often had to ask the owner (not many staff) where something was.

I started my career in one of those, they had stuff nobody else had, they had been in business since 1904, when Home Depot came to town they closed shortly after.
The main advantage the local hardware store has is they can cater to the local demographics, which might be completely different than where the head office buyer lives.
The best product selection I ever had with a national chain was when I worked at a store where the national buyer actually lived, makes a huge difference, they also listen to employees that live and work nearby, as they get it.
Try talking to a buyer that lives on the other coast, you know nothing according to them, a shame really.

Closest thing we have now is Home Hardware, but even they aren't what they used to be. Every now and again, you find an older one in a small town and the memories come flooding back. I go into HD or Lowe's these days and I typically know more than the staff. Ok, maybe not THESE days! I am staying the hell away from big box stores!

In the first week of March I got a whole motorcycle wheel from the Netherlands via Deutsche Post or whatever in 8 days including customs. Friday I got a motorcycle fender which I ordered June 7th from England and shipped via Royal Mail. The package sat in Chicago for 6 weeks. Actually I have to pick that package up at my post office yet. It will be interesting to see what kind of shape it is in.

My first motor shipped USPS priority and was here in a few days. Second motor not faring so well via UPS. Hopefully the shipping gremlins haven't gotten a hold of it.

Thanks. To clarify, I wasn't looking for follow up on your part. You've got more important things to do putting out world class ebikes and #MakingBafangGreatAgain. Just pointing out it seems a crapshoot these days no matter what vendor you choose.

I guess it's different all over the country but I have SO much better service from USPS than any other delivery service. UPS is a close second but I understand it is not the same everywhere. I 🥰 my UPS guy and make sure he knows it every Christmas. Same with my post lady. They work SO had and we need to understand that. They get so much grief from their respective administrations. Like Amazon. Bezos keeps raking it in ... while his workers exist in near feudalistic servitude.
