Wahoo Tickr Fit

Anyone have any experience with one? I just bought one, paired it to my Bolt 2 and IPhone, but haven’t ridden with it yet. Friday is going to be the first time I use it.

Any advice?

I've used one for several years. First one died after 18 months or so, Wahoo replaced it, second one has been solid. Replaced a Scosche Rhythm that died twice and I elected not to try a third one.

IME the optical arm bands are a little more finicky to get accurate readings out of than the old chest straps. They work, but seem to take longer to pick up changes in heart rate or even give an initial reading. But they are waaaaaaaay more convenient to use. I find I get better results on my right arm than my left (who knows why). Just below my elbow on the inside of my arm seems to work best. You may have to play with positioning to figure where it gets the best reading.

I have been using a Wahoo Tickr chest strap for years. The strap crapped out early, so I use Garmin straps now. At one point I thought it died, but the battery contacts just needed cleaning after a long ride in the rain.

Thanks guys. I was looking at the underside sensor of the Fit armband. Should that area go over the vein on the inside of my arm, under my elbow?

Thats basically where I run it. Two inches down from the elbow on the inside of my arm. I do have a few friends who like to run them on their upper arm, mainly women with small arms. If its being finicky picking up a heart rate, try another spot.
